Newcastle Utd U18s 4 – 2 Everton U18s
Everton U18s kicked off the new season with a defeat at the Newcastle Utd Academy.
Everton fell behind after 13 minutes and, despite two changes at half-time, were 3-0 down by the hour mark. It only got worse when the home side converted a penalty but, in added time, the substitutes Luca Davis and Charlie Stewart scored a couple of consolation goals.
Everton U18s: G Pickford, Maher, Butler (46′ Stewart), Thomas [Y:88′], Foster [Y:34′], O Samuels-Smith (76′ Davis), Finney (85′ Allen), Bates (46′ Gardner), Van Schoor, Beaumont-Clark, Armstrong.
Subs not Used: Lukjanciks.
