Thierno Barry scored twice, laid on an assist for Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, and Everton came back to beat Coventry City 3-1 at Hill Dickinson Stadium.

That’s 3 straight wins for David Moyes’s men, who have turned their form around to head into the international break in a fantastic position.

Here’s how Everton’s players rated.

PLAYER RATINGS

Jordan Pickford — 7 Had a couple of saves to make either side of half-time, with the highlight being a stop from Tatsuhiro Sakamoto. Commanded his box well and could do nothing about the Coventry goal.

Merlin Röhl — 5 Didn’t really make an impact going forward and was exposed defensively at times, including for Coventry’s opener.

James Tarkowski — 6 Perhaps lucky to escape punishment for a potential hair-pull in the first half. Otherwise solid, but that was a bit of a brain fart.

Jarrad Branthwaite — 6 Was poor for Coventry’s goal, and we expect better from such a quality operator. But he was dominant in the air again, winning 8/9 aerial duels.

Vitalii Mykolenko — 8 Another one lucky not to concede a penalty, after he tripped Taiwo Awoniyi right on the line of the box, but that aside he was excellent, and also grabbed an assist with a quality cross in for Barry’s equaliser.

James Garner — 6 Just left the midfield a bit too empty at times in the first hour, but from then on, he showed his class, and was typically combative throughout.

Harrison Armstrong — 6 Plenty of energy again, but a lack of craft from him at times, and there was again a lack of balance in the midfield.

Tyler Dibling — 6 Couldn’t get into the game on his first Premier League start of the campaign, though he did then play a part in Everton’s equaliser as he stood up a cross to the back post. Needs to show more but also needs to be given opportunities.

Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall — 8 Some sloppy moments in the first half, when it wouldn’t quite click for him, but he was superb in the final 30 minutes, and capped it off with a brutal finish to show Thomas Tuchel what he’s missing.

Tyrique George — 6 A pretty poor first 60 minutes, but George really stepped up after he created Everton’s second goal with some quick feet and a neat cross. Came on strong from there.

Thierno Barry — 9 Seemingly can’t stop scoring, and his assist took him to 11 goal involvements in all competitions this season, a figure bettered by only Erling Haaland (13) among Premier League players.

SUBSTITUES

Jake O’Brien — 6 Helped sure things up when he replaced Röhl.

Hayden Hackney — 7 Really sharp and bright on the ball. Always looking to play forward and make incisive runs.

Brennan Johnson — 6 Couldn’t really make an impact but worked hard to keep Coventry on their toes.

Micheal Keane — N/A

Carlos Alcaraz — N/A
