Dithering is costing us!

I think Moyes is an idiot! Barton, Nugent, Jagielkia and Koumas have all said this summer they want to join Everton. But it looks like Barton will go Newcastle, and Nugent will go else where. As a result of Moyes 'dithering' like Nick Entwistle!
Three season ago, Scott Parker was champing at the bit to join us, but because we took an eternity to finalise a deal, we went to Newcastle. Even Parker himself said Everton didn't seem interested to sign him. Now because Moyes is the second coming of Frank Spencer, we will lose out on Barton as well.
Imagine if Everton stuck a deal straight after the fight at Man City, we would be a Everton player be now. But every transfer we go for always take an age to complete. No one can argue that Barton, Nugent, Jags and Koumas would make us serious contenders for the top four, or at least a realistic challenge. But while Moyes dithers, foolish supporters are happy with him dithering, we will always be second rate. Even Joe Parkinson said we are short of talent. He says;
"We need to strengthen all round in all areas," he said. "Maybe some more flair players, because we are a strong side in that way but we need a couple more, like Arteta and Fernandes, to help us out and get the goals when we are struggling."
There you have it! And some fans say we should not worry, FOOLS! Please, Everton, at least sign Fernandes and Da Silva permanently!

Moyes’s dithering? Last year he signed lescott, johnson and howard before anyone suspected a thing. He signed fernandes on the sly too.
Just because you don’t know what’s going on doesn’t mean it’s not happening. Moyes doesn’t have to run it past the fans for approval, just take responsibility for the results.
Are you related to Tony Marsh by any chance? The pair of you should get together and have a good whingeing session!! Moyes knows what he is doing. Just because you think he should sign various players doesn’t mean he wants or has too. Looks like Barton might join Newcastle and Big Sam and double his wages -£100,000 a week!! We couldn’t pay that or would if we could. So Barton wants to play for us let him prove it by turning the top dollar down, which Scott Parker didn’t by the way, and prove he’s a true Blue.

Well said. I particularly like the bit where he said "There we have it" after Piemans quotation.
Fantastic Player Joe was, but when did he become football Oracle? Luq, Everyones entitled to an opinion, like yours that we MUST sign Da Silva to aid us in our quest (LOL), but to call everyone a Fool for simply deciding not to question Moyes for not signing anyone by the 1st of June, is exactly the reason why people dismiss your opinions as nonesense.
What you perceive as Moyes weakness in the market is actually his strength. He knows the value of a player, he sticks by that valuation, he is prepared to wait and he is not afraid to walk away from a deal if it doesn’t suit Everton.
For the first time in a long time we have players queing up to tell the press of thier desire to come to Everton. That in itself is down to Moyes and puts this club in a strong position to negotiate a good price. Everton os in good hands.
Why do you want da silva signed permanently? We still don’t know if he’s any good or not. Calm down.
People always throw at you "what if you were offered an extra £££ by another employer? you’d take it wouldn’t you?" My answer is "not if it meant leaving the family firm, where I was well paid and happy, to boost a competitor".
Similarly, as a contractor (and I know others who’ve done the same) I have stayed with companies where I had made friends, was respected and liked the town, rather than uproot to a similar post for (relatively) a few quid more. Much of the extra I’d have made would have gone in tax anyway. It’s all relative, I suppose. One thing I do know hand on heart: if me or either of my lads had been blessed with the talent to play for Everton, no way would we jump ship.
Have a drink or smoke something to calm your nerves. These rants are just a bit over the top. Also, who are all these teams that you are seeing make all these moves. Pompey have signed Distin, wow, and some other defender. And United have signed a couple of players that we had absolutely no chance of signing. The rest are all rumours, just like all the rumours that have linked us with players. Jose has been linked with wanting to sign Lescott, is he dithering? West Ham have been linked with Tim Cahill, are they dithering? Why haven’t they signed these players!!! Their supporters should be outraged at their managers!!!! I need transfers now!!!!!!!! What are we waiting for!!!! Oh, today is officially the first day of the transfer window.
I do think that Moyes is playing his cards close to his chest on this one and trying to see if he can get the best deals possible, but he is leaving it late, now that other teams are sniffing about. But there’s a long way to go yet.
After two seasons he now wants to go back to London where he will get even more dosh.
As for Barton, I dont think they’ve offered him 100 grand - his contract at City is 25 grand a week following the new deal he got back in 2005. Thus the moneybags barcodes have typically decided to offer a nice round 50 grand as an opening gambit. Our negotiations will / would start at conservatively 25-30 grand upwards. Lets be realistic, we cant throw such wages around.
What we need to be doing is getting more bodies who are decent quality, as the squad is still too small for a sustained push to the upper reaches of the UEFA and a decent league position.
As for Nugent, he scored for more goals than AJ last season, would have bags of passion and would be an ideal replacement for Beatts.
Finally, if we can afford Manny we will sign him, but we need to accept that we are not a moneybags club, if you don’t like that do something about it. Instead of signing a peteition to make BK sign Fernandes why not try raising the £8m to pay for him. It worked for the Green Bay Packers.
