Money talks ?!

Comments (9)

We've heard a lot about how we don't have a lot to spend on transfers this summer compared with the ultra rich clubs and whilst we try and muster $5 million together for Jagielka money bags Chelsea have been very busy. So far they have signed Pizarro, Sidwell and Philiskirk for a combined ....... ZERO POUNDS IN TRANSFER FEES.

Ridiculous.... Simply Ridiculous Kieran. You are fast turning into Tom Marsh II.

Why would Sidwell come to Everton when Chelsea are calling? Why would Pizarro leave Bayern Munich and come to Everton?

You’ve conveniently forgot the huge rise to the wages bill that Everton could not afford!

those signings will be on a typical 3/4 yr deal earning around 20k up to 40k a year, true EFC cannot afford those wages

Spot on Kieran. The
St James’ Evening News reports they’ve also been given a flat to share in Pimlico and free membership of the School Dinners’ Club in Petty France. In addition they will have their own golden nameplate on the subs bench and a salary of £400 a week (including Summer!). How could we compete with that? all we could offer was a game of football

Oh Phil Bellis you are so simple! Your attempt at sarcasm only spits on your own face. I support Kieran points, as at least we could have signed Sidwell. If Everton approached him with a impressive package, and guaranteed first time football, he could of come. But your lack of vision, sense and ambition clouds the realities around you. What next then Phil? Sell our best assets to make Kenwright happy!

We need to get real,Sidwell rejected Newcastle and it was an almost done deal, at no point were we favorites to sign him. He simply went for the money - expect another Parker-like story next year. He favored well paid bench place instead of fighting for first team place. End of.

Pizarro is the same story - bench warmer for Bayern - bench warmer for Chelsea. As I see the things - we are out of money - trying to scrap for Jagielka; out of the race for Barton, Nuggent, Fernandes due to the lack of finances. It will be a long summer and this time the mistake is not in Moyes, its still early but I have the feeling that we will again fail to build on our achievements and the sole reason is BK
