Transfers out of Goodison

Comments (3)

Does anyone remember last year when Arteta was pictured outside Old Trafford attending a game and everyone said he was off to Man Utd?

Also last year, wasn't Cahill linked with Man Utd as well, the man they wanted to replace Scholes. Then the mailbag spent the whole summer debating whether we should sell Cahill.

I really wouldn't get worked up about speculation made up to sell newspapers this summer. I'm sure part of Moyes's next "5 year plan" is not selling our better players especially ones who have quite a lot of time left on their contract.

Moyes last five year plan didn’t work, so don’t be too confident our best players will remain at the club. We are Everton after all! And some ’dark-room’ low ambitious fans are only to happy for us to stay that way.

Guys, when people leave (Rooney) (Graverson)and people come in (Johnson - A bit late)(Arteta)but they did come in and shown that Everton is bigger than any one man show, so i think that the five year plan is working and I cant wait for the next five years.

We can be one of the only teams who have over 50% of the team home grown and can you imagine if the player we are linked to come in (true blue ones) we will have over 50% who are Evertonians, true blues.

Not like the Spanish and French connections that you see above us in the so called top 4..

PEACE!

Luq, what are you talking about. Moyes last five year plan didn’t work? He took over a team that was fighting relegation every single season. He has taken Everton away from that, and now has us fighting for Europe every season, with us qualifying for the Champions League once, and Uefa Cup this past season. In that times he has gotten rid of the dead weight he inherited and is continuing to build a solid team, with players like Arteta, Cahill, Johnson, Howard, Lescott, on a limited budget. But you’re right, qualifying for Europe instead of fighting relegation is a failure, what was I thinking. Christ, you’re a moron Luq.
