Barmby, Jeffers, Rooney... there's always been a marketable player among the Everton ranks, but I do take your point. We do have more high-quality players than for many a year. Real (financial) progress will come when we don't have to sell no matter how big the offer... [And, no, I'm not insinuating that anyone at Goodison is considering selling AJ, for example, for £13m.]
