Trouble ahead

I see that the story about Arteta meeting Curbishley to discuss terms has finally surfaced as I knew it would, for the simple reason that it is true. I have spoken to someone who was in the hotel that day (I know, I know) and there is no doubt what was happening. West Ham are intent on raiding big time and when the bids arrive expect all hell to break loose as Kenwright wrings his hands but eventually cashes in. This summer will prove beyond all doubt why we need investment and why Kenwright has to go, which brings me to another subject.

In the Echo tonight Tom Hicks announces that the Reds have complely redesigned their stadium (he only joined in March for Christ's sake) and are ready to submit them this month. In the meanwhile the silence from Kenwright on this issue is deafening and becoming a major embarrassment. Knowsley Council announce plans for a consulation - nothing from Everton, not even a promise of when we might hear something.

For anyone who is still in any doubt about the ground move I urge you to vote no for the following reasons

1. Its in the wrong place
2. If Kenwright is in charge it will end in a major fuck up and
3. If Kenwright is in charge it will end in a major fuck up

Batton down the hatches boys and girls it going to be a very painful summer indeed.

Yeah, yeah, and somebody submitted a picture saying it was Arteta meeting with Curbishley but it was clearly not Arteta. The Reds have had their stadium plans for years now, so of course they are further along than us. We just met with the Knowsley Council a week or two ago. Liverpool council gave the Reds approval at least 1-2 years ago. Go smoke a joint and shut up.

I don’t think John Doolan is even an Evertonian, coming and writing this crap on here. It’s just shit stirring. John you refer to Liverpool as "the Reds" (with a capital R to signify their importance). No Evertonian would refer to them as "the reds", only "the red shite". Go back to robbing your own fans you weasel.

Have just read Alan’s response above. I didn’t realise that our dislike for Liverpool extended to abusing our own in such a manner when they write an article using Liverpool as a comparison to highlight some of our issues.

Yes, Liverpool are the enemy and while it is extremely galling to have to say so, they do seem to have their act together, with respect to our new stadium we don’t seem to. This is all John was saying and I agree with him.

An unwritten rule on this website has always been that you are entitled to disagree with any opinion but you don’t be a prick about it. It’s a rule most of us have always abided by. Hope you’re proud of yourself Alan.
And by the way I used a capital L Alan, am I a weasel too?

Maybe weasel is a bit strong, and I apologise but i’ve had abuse on here before so plenty of others don’t abide by your "unwritten rule". I’m just getting annoyed by crap written by people like John Doolan. I don’t think he’s offering an opinion. He’s just shit stirring. I would bet my house on the fact that that is not Arteta in that picture.

Gotta agree with Alan Clarke on this, I agree that every Blue that takes the time to log onto these sites & then post something is entitled to thier opinion but John Doolan is so far off the truth its funny, if that was Mikel in that picture I’ll go the first game of the season starkers!! Plus the rest ofthe post is basically an attack on Kenwright, but the points he uses to attack him are daft! The only time Bill has sold against our wishes was shrek & there was no way we could keep him when his mind was polluted by that bellend stretford & various manc england players! The ground move is a contentious issue so everyones got an opinion on that.....

In defence of john doolan he does not once say the man in the pic was arteta, he sed arteta had talks that’s all. Im in no way suggesting he is right but sayin he sed that was arteta was a little way off

It’s no doubt the silly season and rumours are aplenty. Mikkel Arteta’s comments to date regarding Everton and his future have been nothing short of positive and complimentary. To nail these rumours Everton need only do one thing and that is - offer the guy an improved contract and ensure the best little Spaniard we know is commited to Club for the feasible future

Spot on Kieran everyone is entitled to his opinion and you dont have to insult anyone if you disagree. The way the club is handling the stadium issue is embarrassing as well - there are rumours in Echo and some disgraceful articles from D. King but no real and meaningful information about the Kirkby deal.
There were even suggestions made trough R. Dodd that the fans wont be consulted for the move.
On the Rooney issue - the move was engineered by the club, we were close to administration and our only option was to sell him. BK has too many fuck ups to be trusted and I for one wont be surprised if any of our star players moves to balance the sheets.
