Goal of the Season...

Comments (4)

Rooney's breakaway with Ronaldo goal of the season? Rubbish. Good as it was, a couple of one-twos against a team who had every one up for a corner shouldn't be goal of the season. Then again, is it a surprise the the Love-In the BBC have with the powers that be should chose a top 4 side?

Call me biased but it SHOULD have been McFadden's. All the goals were breakaways and volleys yet McFadden's was the only goal out of the selection that has a true moment of considered genius. If it was Rooney or Gerrard or Drogba or Henry then...

I agree totally with Nick. If it had been an England International, one of the ’chosen ones’, McFadden’s goal would have easily won goal of the season. And Fernandes’ goal against Man U wasn’t even shortlisted! Crazy stuff.

The time we are put on Motd I am surprised it was even shown, but then again us Evertonians are being bitchy.

I agree that McFadden’s goal should have been the winner (actually it was wasn’t it?)But I was almost as surprised that Mikey’s effort against Bolton wasn’t at least a contender.I thought that was an absolutely cracking goal. Pace, skill and a cracking net-bursting shot.As well as that, it left the Bolton gorillas looking silly which can’t be a bad thing!
