What a totally pointless exercise.Who gives a stuff whether Arteta is ’top midfielder’in some spurious poll which allows you to vote over and over again.Hope they organise the Kirkby vote a bit better else the reds will have us there in a trice!

Christ more negativity. If Arteta wins a vote by football fans it proves that Everton are producing greeat players and that all the experts that claim Ronaldo is the best player in Europe are wrong and it should have been Arteta. By the way I just checked and Mikkel is on 31% with Ronaldo on 24% and Gerrard on 18%. Drool on all of you teams that play in Red. Arteta is a Blue and is staying that way.

Skysports.com are now declaring Mikel the "surprise" winner of said contest. Prepare for a bidding war between the top four to be top of the Sky Sports transfer window/rumour section for the next few days!!!No doubt, he will also be seen as the "ideal replacement" for Beckham at Madrid and god knows how many other ridiculous stories.
