Youth

In this time of buy, buy, buy ? what about the youngsters we've developed? Is this the season we see Vidarsson, Molyneux, Kissock, and others hopefully in the first team squad? Potentially these kids could save us millions but if we don't play them we'll never know. Come on Everton ? give youth a chance.

Do you really not think (a) David Moyes knows full well about every young player we have who is anywhere near the first team? (B) If they were really any good that he would not actually play them? (C) That a number of them will inevitably be released, if they have not gone already, ti diapear forever or while away their time in teh lower leagues. If Jagielka "comes back" that will be a very rare happening.
Quiz Q: How old was Jagielka when he was dropped by Everton's Youth Academy?
Who says we don't have any good kids at Everton? take a look at this story: http://www.evertonfc.com/news/archive/academy-s-treble-triumph.html
I'm sure someone will say that none will progress through, but as someone whose son plays tournaments at under-11 level against academy teams like QPR or Luton ? and they are bloody brilliant at that level ? to beat clubs like Inter or Seville to win is excellent.
Jagielka was with Barton when the Under 15 team was scrapped in full and all players released in the 14/15 age group.
