All Quiet on the North Western Front

Since the season ended, I've checked daily the BBC, ToffeeWeb and EvertonFC.com for news of a big signing. Each day I've hoped that I'd be suprised and that Moyes had pulled one out of the bag. Nothing but tumbleweed blowing across the Goodison pitch!

Oh how dull the close season is. Lack of transfer activity, reflection on the past season and predictions of the season ahead (of which I'm guilty).

They should move the academy league to the summer or start/finish later than the Premiership. Raise crowds at academy games and give young players a chance to shine for the upcoming season. Good idea or bad idea, least it would give us something to watch!

It's very odd how there has been zero talk of transfers. We usually get statements saying we have little money to spend or that we're going to sign x and y before it falls through. Perhaps no news is good news?

I think it was David Prentice in the Echo, a man who seems to have his finger on the pulse and likes to indulge in some investigative journalism when the whim takes him, who suggested that Moyesey may not do much in the transfer market until after pre-season has started and may go right up to the deadline so that the early Premiership might give him an idea of what he needs. Of course, there may be no one left to sign by then, but hey...

Where the fuck are Everton when all these clubs are being taken over? City, Villa, West Ham, The Shite and now Blackburn (et al) FOR FUCKS SAKE... These clubs must have people over the pond and in Europe touting for this business - where is the interest in Everton? We are going to miss out AGAIN here. Somebody needs to get their fingers out their arse and get some investment in to this club - FAST, otherwise this really will be the end for us.

Something else that concerns me is the lack of transfer activity this pre-season. If West Ham are budgeting to spend this £50m all clubs are supposed to be getting, then why aren't we?

Why does Everton have to be the fuckin' last to get ANYTHING done anymore - we used to be the first....... Up the Blues.

Read above letter "Have a little patience" and please have it. We won?t be let down I am sure.

Think about it - what?s the point of buying a player for buying sake? Davey knows who he wants and hopefully will get them.

Who have Arsenal, Spurs etc. signed as yet - its only the managers like Redknapp and Alladyce who have suddenly be given a whopping Easte Egg that are going berserk to spend it... something like my daughter .. shopaholics!!

Andy,I think the reason why we have had no investors sniffing round us is down to Kenwright,he just does not want to give the train set up.I bet we have had plenty of interest from investors.
