Not a big huge fan of rumours, but I've been told that we'll complete the signings of these next 5 players in the next 2 weeks:
Manuel Fernandes - 12 Month Loan
Leighton Baines - £4m
Nigel Reo-Coker - £6.5m
Phil Jagielka - £4m
Dave Nugent - £4m + Anichebe going out on loan to them
Javier Saviola - Free Transfer

So the presence of the same old names on that list is either a positive as the consistency of the rumours may mean there is some substance there or your source (or his source, or his source's source...) lacks imagination. :)
I d be more than pleased with these but I doubt it !
doesn’t really sound believable when good sources, including the entirely unbiased Dominic King, have suggested that a left sided midfield player is high on Moyes priority list. 3 central midfielders, a left back and a centre forward? I doubt it very much.
I think we may only get Jag from that list. Baines would be a good signing..a bargain at £4m but I cant see even Wigan giving up one of their best players for £4m. If the rumours are true of Bolton looking to sell Nolan then I’d take him ahead of Reo-Coker. Saviola would be an interesting signing on a free but i expect he’d demand similar wages to what he gets at Barca - £50k+ a week.
Now we have entered the stage where people make up nonsense like this. Surprised you published, but then again you have to print something... like the Sun, I suppose, but at least their tits are real! :)

Nugent is very overrated in my opinion. I have always said that and alway will. Leroy Lita looks a much better player. What can he actually do? He is not lightning quick. Not particularly strong or good in the air. Not skillfull and judging by his record last season not the best striker in the championship. Look at Robert Earnshaw he has scored more goals than Nugent in the premiership yet can not cut it in the prem. People have gone over the top because he is a scouser. Big deal so am I. It does not mean I am going to bang twenty goals a season. I am expecting a lot from Vaughan next season. He has all the ingrediants to become a top player. People may think of Cadamateri but I am sure he will be a sucess. I never seen Cadamateri scare centre halfes the way Vaughan does. He has pace, power, aerial ability and a poachers instinct going by his goals. I would like to see us bring in someone like Sheringham, Fowler or Viduka if we’d have had the chance. One of then could of kept the likes of Victor and Vaughany on their toes and educated then a bit. Anyway lets stop getting worried. I think we are going to get quality in and that includes Fernandes. I have heard from a few sources that he is on his way up.
What sources do people think they have? Journalists whose Job it is would love to meet these sources, then they wouldn’t have to make up randon stories like 20mil Johnson, 10mil Arteta, 10mil Cahill, 10mil Lescott...or Everton signing Koumas, O’Connor, Riquelme, Bardsley, Richardson, Smith...
The very fact is people make up their own transfer stories such as Saviola, who is more likely joining Man U or Juve (according to his agent..albeit also a uncalid source). Yet people seem to try and vindicate roumers by claiming ’I dont usually comment on roumers’ and/or ’I heard from a reliable source’.
If you dont usually comment on transfer roumers, why are you commenting on transfer roumers. Its a total contradiction, youre admitting what you say is total bollocks before you say it. Its like when men have P.E. and say afterwards ’thats never happened before; Its just lies and all very annoying, especially for the recipitants.
Also, if it was a reliable source, you would say who this reliable source. If a source is onominous that source becomes invalid and therefore unreliable. The Sun uses reliable sources when saying scousers steal from the dead, that reliable source however is fake, made up bullshit.
If people want to comment on transfer roumers, all well and good, I like to do it myself, but to make up your own, pass off as fact, and pretend youre telling the truth is just annoying.
