Everton Master Card
Comments (5)
Anybody bought your season tickets with the EFC Mastercard? Sounds good, nothing at all to pay until December etc ? just make sure you check your statements. I've been hit with a £10 "promotional interest" charge this month - all a mistake of course and will be sorted out for next statement. I hope this is a one-off error and not some cynical effort to extract a little more from us in the hope that some of us might not have noticed!!

I got charged £3.96 promotional interest...so it’s not even consistent! Have you got the phone number as I can’t find my bloody statement at the moment.
Don’t bother with the phone number, thanks, I found it. They told me it was an error and would be corrected in my July statement. I think I’ll pay mine off to be on the safe side. I remember wanting to apply for a card earlier in the year but couldn’t find any info on the official website about how to apply (until I received information in the post when they asked me to renew my season ticket) So I typed ’football club Credit cards’ into the search box and eventually I came to a premiership list. EVERY other club is represented by MBNA with an interest rate of 14(odd)%. Everton were the only club not on that list and Sygma bank have an interest rate 2% higher. Dodgy friends Wyness has got! If MBNA are good enough for every other club in the Prem...why not Everton? But then perhaps it’s our fault for believing it was a good deal to apply 2 months early for a season ticket and not have to pay until December. Well done Paul. Because it was only £3.96 (for me) I wasn’t going to bother until I saw your post. This was no ’error’ as banks don’t make that kind of error. It was an attempted rip-off.Can Toffeeweb alert everybody with an item on the homepage?
I have had an Everton MBNA card for about 3/4years. MBNA no longer do them, and they informed me earlier this year the affiliation had ended, and they would issue me with a new card. Funny they apparently still issue them for all other clubs.
Funnier still (NOT), my card has been used to purchase goods over the Internet recently when I have not used it since March. I cannot divulge further as it is part of an investigation, but I regularly faxed details of the card last season to the box office for tickets through my Evertonia membership.Has anyone else had a similar experience lately ?????
Glad I’ve read these stories, I was going to get one of these cards!
Not to pay off the season ticket (already done that), but cos handing an Everton card over a shop counter sounds quite pleasing!
I also applied for the card and received my June statement with £1.85 promotional interest - ( pick a number , any number ! )
I rang to get the same message - "nothing to worry about - just a mistake , will be corrected on next statement etc ) It’ll be interesting to see July’s statement !
