Scouring the web as you do for any transfer news and just read Tuncay Sanli a player we were reputedly linked with has signed for Boro on a free. Hmm... maybe a journeyman you think but no, a Turkish international aged 25 who has scored some quite decent goals including a Champions League hat trick against Man U. Where the hell and what the hell are our scouts up to? This club is a fucking shambles.

Our scouts have been told to only look in the UK because Moyesey likes domestic players... even though they cost four times as much as their Continental brethren...
The 60k a week Boro are paying him probably has something to do with it.
If we shipped out shite like Beattie and his no doubt 30-40k salary for scoring two pens last season and nothing from open play for 18 months together with Tuncay’s purchase cost of £0.00 then £60k a week is more than manageable, he would have fitted the bill as a left sided winger, attacker or playing in the hole behind the strikers. The club can’t move on if it can’t realise talent, Moyes didn’t think Benni McCarthy was worth a shot and was considerably cheaper than lard arse, scored more in one season than him since he has arrived and has european experience. I pray this one wont be another myopic fuck up gone begging through a stubborn reliance on jacks of all trades and masters of none. Arteta was sourced in Europe, just as I think he is learning from mistakes he does it again.
60k is managable in many ways of massaging the finances, but the unescapable fact is that if we pay one player 60k, you really cannot expect Arteta et al to accept that said player is worth more than they, and they’ll be knocking on Moyes’ door...
