If Darren Bent is worth £15 Million then AJ's valuation is what £20M+?
The TV money really screws up everything and the value of the players and their salaries are going to go right through the roof...
Maybe we can get our money back on JB? Darren Bent... this is really the silly season!

Hi Shaun, why is that..because he didn’t pick an injured player?? Bent will be well ahead of Johnson before long at all. In terms of class Bent is a country mile ahead of Johnson...thats why the likes of Spurs and Liverpool are battling for hi signature whereas the big competition for ’AJ’ was from Wigan and Bolton!! He does a job for us but he’s nothing special, i’d swap for Bent in a heartbeat.
I think David must have banged his head and is suffering a mild concussion if he rates Bent ahead of AJ.
Yes Bent shares AJ’s pace and might even shade him for finishing but Bent can totally vanish from games, where as AJ puts in 100% in every game he plays, even if he fails to score, he creates gaps for other players, a far more complete player than Darren Bent.

Fistly, I find it very hard to believe that you have seen enough of Darren Bent to judge him and secondly, what would you say about AJ then?? His goal return was hardly a phenomenon was it and if you actually followed the blues away(or at home), which I doubt, you would realise he goes ’missing’ as much as anyone. His form since the first 3rd of the season proves that beyond any doubt. Our club is in a bit of a state to be fair but our fans don’t half contribute to that. Convincing yourself that Andy Johnson is a top player will get you nowhere mate. I say again, Wigan and Bolton were our competition for AJ. Spurs and Liverpool want Bent to the tune of £16m. How do you explain that?? I’ll explain it for you. bent is better than AJ. Much. The end.

Stuart, I will say you are naive but thats not really what I think. Your ?fact? isn?t a fact at all, it?s your unsubstantiated opinion. If someone is willing to pay £20m+ for AJ... where are they?? You hnestly think EFC would reject an offer of that size?? Behave yourself, I think you read too much Daily Star mate!! I?m sure we could get an inflated fee for him but that would be from West Ham and likely West Ham only. Spurs don?t want him, Liverpool don?t want him, Chelsea don?t want him, man United don?t want him...if they did he?d be gone. The reason for that is that he just isn?t that special at all. Keep dreaming anyway mate, if that's what makes you happy.
