Fernandes malarky

Does anyone know the official line on 3rd party ownership? It's just that it occurred to me, seeing as loans are okay in the eyes of the FA, why don't we buy the "other half" of Manny that the agent owns, let's say £6m, and then loan him from Benfica so the ownership doesn't matter. If we decide to pay more next year for him, he becomes our player, if not, he goes back to Portugal where they obviously do not have this rule, hence the situation we find ourselves in. If Benfica decide to sell, we have 1st refusal, literally, and we get half of his transfer fee back. Just a thought...

This whole Fernandes business seems very tricky. But the guy is quality. He seems to be everything that we’ve lacked in recent times: young, energetic, goal-scoring and classy. Kanchelskis was the last guy I saw like that in a Blue shirt. Oh and Claus Thomsen too...lol
I’m in Portugal at the moment. Fernandes is very highly rated by all those in the know. What a great statement of intent it would be to splash out him. Sign the bugger and be dammed. Speculate to accumulate.
PS Hello to Geoff Cook if you’re reading this
I agree with you John. My recent experience in Portugal gave me the same impression of Fernandes. I was a youth coach of a lot of boys teams. The talent over there is amazing. Speed, skill, strength and agression. They seemed much better than our lazy, Playstation youngsters. Lets get some more Portugese talent. A la Arsenal.
By the way in the Benfica youth team there’s a lad from Liverpool. He’s half British and a mad Evertonian. His mum’s Portugese. His name is Paulo Kipps. Look out for that name in a couple of years.
As an Evertonian all my life, I’d love to the boy come back. He was one of the best I’ve seen in many a year. I’ve been watching the blues since 1940. Sign him up Davey lad!
Who’s upstairs?

While I’d like to see Fernandes at Goodison next season, I’d also like us not to financially knacker ourselves to sign him.
By the way, Fred, check your walls lad, I can hear someone knocking.
The problem that i have with Fernandes is that he goes missing in games some times. In the Man Utd, apart from the goal he didntdo a great deal else, my worry is will he fancy it on a cold November evening at Pomepy? ha ha ha!
