Are the youth ready to step up?

Having returned from the friendly at Bury this afternoon, the paper-thin nature of the squad has been emphasised to me even more. Asmittedly no Arteta, Beattie, Osman, Jagielka, Yobo and Cahill in either game today, but who looks capable of making a step up if needs be?
Answer: a resounding nobody, I'm afraid. Sorry to destroy the illusion of those who think that the inadequate numbers can be supplemented from the junior ranks. It's not going to happen just yet, in my opinion.
