What Kenwright has done

Comments (8)

I for one am sick and tired of Kenwright giving us no answers. It's about time that he stepped aside and gave us a wealthy investor, which such a successful club deserves.

We truly are a dying giant, we have the potential there to be one of the greatest teams in the world, but Kenwright seems to insist on staying in charge.

Now I know at this point that people will be thinking, what if we haven't had any proposals? We should all know for a fact that we have had proposals because what wouldn't a potential invester see in:

  • A club with a great history.
  • The current group of players are quite good so not many signings will be needed at first.
  • A city which is European Capital of culture next year, improving the chances of people coming to the city buying Everton merchandise and increasing ticket demand.
  • A City which is football mad.

I'm sure that there are many more good points, but what I want to know is why Kenwright hasn't told us why he has knocked it back, and I would love to know his plan for the club and how much money he actually has. Backing my point up that we definitley have had offers, please tell me what investors see in Porstmouth, West Ham, Aston Villa and potentially Birmingham and Blackburn.

Bill Kenwright has well and truly drawn the line now this summer ? an extra wedge of cash from Sky coming our way and teams who usually have less money are spending much more than us.

I have decided to create a petition, which I plan to send to Everton and hopefully reach the chairman himself. This is the only way we can truly get to him, unless we have 30,000 banners saying Kenwright out at our next home game.

The petition reads:

To: Everton Football Club
Its about time Everton fans got answers, we need to know whats happening to our beloved club. For too many years now the club have told lied or not said anything, with major examples being:

  • Why the lack of transfer money? considering we finish in a good position and the fact that we have a very small wage bill compared to other teams.
  • What really happened to the Kings Dock stadium which we would be playing in this season, if it had not failed, and what is happening to our current stadium plans?
  • Not telling us the full truth about the Rooney Deal.
  • Why do we seem to be Man United's feeder team lately?
  • Most importantly, WHY NO INVESTMENT? when other teams similar to us, have continous propasals.

Its about time the Bill Kenwright stepped aside, for the good of the club and for the fans, leave now or regret the consequences of staying by seeing the club slowly rot away. I and many other Everton fans have become sick of the lack of communication. So unless you have valid answers to all of the above, please leave, if you really are an Evertonian.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

What is wrong with you? You have posted the link to your little petition a dozen times today. You can post it a dozen times more but that dosn’t get any more people to sign it. Everyone knows what happened to the Kings Dock proposal, we couldn’t come up with the money to fund the stadium ourselves. What truth hasn’t been told about the Rooney transfer? He turned his back on you and me and the rest of Everton for a massive pay check and instant success istead of doing the work at this club to make Everton better. He is a traitor. How are we a Man United feeder club? What does this mean that we are giving all our best players to them? Rooney is the only one who has went there and he is the one who demanded the transfer. He was an arrogant pisshead who didn’t like Moyes, wait for this, managing him!!! And we have two former United players, Neville and Howard, two players who were major contributors to our success last season. Lack of transfer money? We bought AJ for 8.5 million, Lescott for 5 Million, not sure how much for Howard, 4 Million for Jagielka, signed young striker Jutkiewitc or however you spell his name, just extended Arteta and Cahill’s contract for 5 years, along with extending Vaughan and Anichebe for another 4 years, and signed Yobo to an extension last year. There is still a month and a half left to get players in, the transfer window doesn’t close tomorrow. Buy a share in the club and you can go to share holders meetings.

120 signatures in the space of 15 hours isn’t bad going. I just need to find a way of advertising this more, not in the toffeeweb though, to stop people behind billy boy like you from getting angry.

What a wonderful petition Shaun. I bet you get a real kick out of calling people ’dickheads’ (your direct comment) on the petition comments when they dare disagree with it!!!!!! 120 signatures- I think we’d get more in a vote for putting you in the stocks mate and throwing wet sponges and tomatoes at you.

120 signatures!!!!!!! Yeah, Bill is gonna run for the hills now that 120 people out of the 40,000 that pack Goodison every game and the thousands upon thousands who watch at home or at the pub have signed a little petition.

Are you some kind of fukin idiots? obviously i’m not going to get all the people within a day am I? 120 is a start of the 10,000 - 20,000 i’m looking for, if i dont get enough, I dont send it off, simple as. This is going to take a matter of months, maybe more. If you don’t like it, dont talk about it, dont even look at it, just carry on with your own lives and i’l carry on mine. So take your sarcastic comments elseswhere to someone who gives a shit about what you think!

Re petition.. Agree with the sentiments to a point: But have you got money to put in the club ?if not why should Kenwright tell YOU what his finances? that petition foul language and misspelling (fukin, club told lied.. etc) Do you realy think any of them take one little bit of notice they will laugh and it will go in the bin. Get real & get a life, they do not care about petitions or anything else. The agenda is made, it will be made public when it suits those involved. I.E. When the price is right.

Shaun, I can?t see your petition being too successful to be honest. People tend to be put off when you call people "fukin idiots" (there is a c in there). And as for your comment "who gives a shit what you think", the answer is obviously you, because you are the one wanting signatures, you are the one who cares what we think. According to yourself, the club doesn?t care what we think so at least you have that in common with those who run the club. I disagree with what you say but wish you luck in your endeavour, I think you are going to need it.

Always a good idea to keep petitions to one topic. A petition around the lack of transfer money could have attracted some support (though ultimately rather pointless). But the moronic jibe that we are a Man Utd feeder club, and the daft conspiracy theories, make it a petition that no self respecting blue should sign up to.
