Uefa Cup

Does anyone else think that, if we do reasonably well in the Uefa Cup this season, say the quarter finals or so, then better players will want to come to us, compared to moneybags clubs like Newcastle, West Ham and Villa? I realise that the league must take presidence over the cups, but if we are doing well by January, then surely a better class of player will be tempted to join.

But can we afford to buy them and just as importantly can we afford to pay them?

Better class players care about 1 thing: £££££££££££££££££

They will not take wage drops from 70k to a near state of poverty of earning a measly 30kp/w so no they won?t.

But if these are considered better class players - Parker, Viduka, Neill, Reo-Coker, Bellamy then I am happy to stick with lower class players liker AJ, Lescott, Cahill, Arteta, Yobo, Howard, Vaughan et al
