Frustration

I have been very disapointed and suprised to read on the internet today that, Everton have made a surprise enquiry about Portsmouth's veteran defender Sol Campbell. (People) and that FC Stuttgart are trying to buy Joesph Yobo. What is happening? As many others have stated we need to know what is going on within our great club. I am now starting to get worried at the size of our ever-depleting squad and what the season has in store for us.

I cannot see Moyes letting Yobo leave, we are building a team here and selling a quality young CB and replacing him with a former great CB who is approaching the end of his career is more Walter Smith Than David Moyes.

Saying that for 1mill Campbell would be a good addition to the squad, as long as it does not see Yobo leave.

Still think our main area of concern are the wide midfield areas, we really need to get a pacey winger in.

Maybe Wright-Phillips on loan as we can obviously not afford to buy him.

I don’t think Yobo will be going anywhere, just more baseless internet rumours. But you’re over in Iraq? Stay safe over there buddy.

Along with a million other roumers, Yobo is an Everton player with 4 years on his contract. He hsn?t claimed he wants to leave nor the club said we?d let him leave. So whats the problem?

Campbell is another total roumer which probably will not happen. However if it did, Campbell and Stubbs as back-up for Yobo and Lescott would be brilliant. Would offer euro experience and a good head in the dressing room. A captain who won 2 premiership titles. Still has pace too. So whats the problem now?

The Sol Campbell piece is probably only speculation - but isn’t Yobo going to be away in January playing for Nigeria? So we need someone to cover for him.
