We must influence design

Comments (2)

Like most Evertonians, I think the forthcoming ballot will be largely irrelevant as the Tesco deal is already done. I have to say that I shall vote in favour of the move as to go against it condemns us to an outdated Goodison for the conceivable future. However, I do think it is imperative that we, as the lifeblood of the Club, have a very positive say in the stadium's design and facilities.

Accordingly, I have written to the CEO to ask him to invite all Evertonians to put forward their suggestions or at least provide a tick list of features so that we can prioritise our needs.

I agree that we should have a role in steering the design but if the Board would be happy to railroad the Kirkby move through regardless of the vote then what makes you think they'd listen to the fans on the design?

The board... or let's be honest, Kenwright will decide what he wants. The fact that he sees the chance to sell our last asset Goodison as there has been no assurances we will own the Tescodome, so he's hardly going to lose sleep over the design.

What I’m about to say is probalby ridiclious. But,I wonder how much input Tesco will have into the stadium design? After all, if Tesco are going to put the bulk of the money in,surely they will want some say?
