Everton fans deserve better

Comments (7)

I went to Bury on Saturday, and I have to say what great fans we are, and it's time BK moved over and let someone with money take over. As much as I think BK has done a good job, he can't take us any further. If he stays, we are going to have to realise we won't compete with the big 4, we won't even be able to compete with the likes of the Barcodes, Pompey, Sunderland, Wigan (Wigan for God's sake) and that's a fact.

I've seen Everton fans saying we don't want Americans or other foreigners here, but to be fair it's the only way forward so bring them in before this great club goes back to the 90s and we have a relegation battle every year. Nobody wants that. I do think David Moyes could take us far with money to spend, he's better than the twat from across the park, so come on, BK, for these great supporters move over and let the good times come back. We deserve better. I know all Everton fans won't agree with me but deep down you know it's the way forward.

Bill Kenwright has said time and again he would move over and let "someone with money" take over the club when it was the right offer!

Do you think there is a queue forming outside Bully’s office to invest in the club and he and Kenwright are sitting inside twisting their moustaches and counting all the non-existant money?

Don’t be a prick - there is no one to take over! Kenwright has stabilised the club, just think back five years. Do you want to go back there? Staring relegation in the face every season? Third rate squad?

No neither do I!

Brian...you have to be a wind up man, surely?? Either you were born yesterday or brought up next to a chemical plant I would have to say, absolutely doolally!!

The Premiership is absolutely awash with cash, many clubs taken over already and the likes of Birmingham and Blackburn on the brink. When you look at the facts Everton are one of literally one handful of clubs who have either not been taken over or have a ’rich’ backer already. You’re telling us all to believe that nobody wants a piece of the blues? Sorry to be blunt mate but absolute bollocks!

Theere is only one thing that has taken this club on form the dark days you talk about and that is David Moyes. Bullshit Bill has neither invested personally nor found investment to progress the club, he is a joke of a chairman in this current climate.

Out of his depth and out of his mind if he thinks we’ll carry on putting up with this sub standard bollocks.

Just thinking about it...this guy Brian, he has to be a red!!?? Nobody is that thick. Are they?

Well in that case I’m as thick as Brian. Who are all these people who want to invest in Everton ? It took BK a year and a half to find someone who would buy Gregg out, and you can’t tell me he wasn’t motivated to do that. Unfortunately Everton is simply not that attractive to outsiders - we have a small catchment area and 5 other Premiership clubs within an hour’s drive, we do not have a global brand and our facilities are old and decaying.

Have you hear of any potential investors since that blagger from Switzerland ? Come on, do you really think that if there was someone interested we wouldn’t have heard of them ? When was the last time something happened in football that wasn’t leaked to the public first ? Did Shinawatra talk to Man City or to the press first ?

If you’re going to have a pop at BK you may as well have a pop at me and at all the other thousands of Evertonians who would love to have hundreds of millions in the bank to help the blues but simply don’t.

Sorry but i cant understand why there are still people on here defending bill kenwright and his pal Wyness. The man is a joke ,has he learned nothing from the debacle two years ago. You either put up or shut up but then again we havent heard from him in months and months as he wont inform the paying fans about what is going on at the club and it looks like he wants the ground move debate kept a secret just for him and bully.Kenwright out

David Jones.... You call me a red because I dare to have a different opinion to you?

I was right, you are a prick!

The fact is Kenwright HAS invested in the club, and whether you like it or not we are in a much better position now than before he took over!

You can’t just pick up the Yellow Pages, look under ’Rich Foreign Investors’ and just decide you’re going to sell the club to a rich sugar daddy!

Before you point to other clubs, look at who has taken them over? Former politicians who are being investigated for fraud? Americans who know bugger all about "soccer"?

Bill will sell when and if we get the right offer. Just because I don’t walk round screaming Kenwright out doesn’t make me a Kopite! It just means I can see the bigger picture... ie, past the end of my own nose!

Why do people think that a foreign investor will be the answer to all our prayers? Ok Ambramovich has pumped millions into his club, but the only cash the Glaziers brought to United was the loan they used to buy the club, the transfers and wage bill are all self-financed by the club.

And even Tom and George have said that any Liverpool transfers have to be self funded, so don’t believe that they are digging in their own pockets to fund Torres, they are digging into Liverpool’s.

And Villa and West Ham have had foreign investors for most of last season, but they are not even close to breaking into the top four, or even the top six.

Arsenal haven’t got a foreign investor, but they are still in the top four, and Spurs haven’t got some sugar daddy but they are still progressing well.

Everton finish 6th and in Europe without a foereign investor, so why do we suddenly need one?

Foregin investors are NOT sugar daddies, all you people out there who think that we NEED to have an investor give us money to spend are dreaming. Any investor coming in would pay their money to Bill, not to us or the club, they would pay to take ownership of the club.

They would then expect the club to not only pay for itself but also to pay them (the new owners) a handsome return on their investment (as Tom and George expect from Liverpool, at least £21m just to pay off the interest on the loan they took out to buy the club).

Liverpool and Man United didn’t get where they are because a foreign investor came in and gave them limitless cash, they were already there before the investors came, in fact it was BECAUSE they were there that the investors came.

Arsenal are trying to avoid foreign investment, because they feel they don’t need it, because it wont add anything to the club.

If Villa, West Ham, Man City really believe that they will join the top four without spending an additional £300m as Chelsea did then they are as deluded as that lot across the park.

In fact Chelsea are the only ones who have benefited from having a sugar daddy, but to him it all about winning, not about making a profit, and he is the exception to the rule.

Foreign investment doesn’t make a successful football club, the only way to have a successful club is through hard work and having a good manager and stable team, thats what brought success to Liverpool, Arsenal, Man United and its what will bring success to Everton

... and when we get that success you can be sure that there will be many billionaires trying to get in on the act then, but I hope that we remain as we are, because we are Everton.

Chris Dottie,I think you will find the man who bought out Gregg, was a good mate of BK.The only reason BK had him come in was because it strengthened his position at the club, there’s the motivation for you. Also, have we seen any investment off his mate?It wouldn’t suprise me if BK was the one who bought Gregg out,and used his mate as the front.
