Stadium Solution?

As the stadium debate and vote rolls on, I have a suggestion, no sorry I have a question that none of you will like. A question to every Evertonian out there who says that its not about location its about history and heritage. So, with history and heritage the main objections, my question is this:
Why then, when Liverpool FC vacate their stadium, don't we change the seats to blue, tear down their badges and put our crest in their place? We will then be returning to our 1st home, the place were it all began all those years ago and then the history will be complete? It already holds over 45000 and has corporate facilites.
I myself would never set foot in the godforsaken place. I just wanted put a bit of perspective on our history because we were the first team in the City and Anfield was our home! But no Evertonian alive today would even consider going back there.

Don't be fooled by the propaganda bullshit in the coming weeks, this is 129 years of history being decided by an Aberdeen fan who has been here five minutes. Is it right to risk our heritage to people who when they do say somethung to us it is generally muddled or lies? I want progress but it should be done with everyone's backing.

This is Wyness's 'Deal of the Century'!?!?!? It's all based on filling a 50-55,000 seater stadium with the turgid shite we dish out on an annual basis. I really cannot see how we're going to be any better off. After all, we'll be in Kirkby and there will be no turning back The one thing we have in our favour is Goodison and we?ll be selling it in a hope to balance the books. Is Wyness for real? He sounds like a fucking dodgy used car salesman!

Thats a 'yes' for my vote Wyness!
ps: Dont like the idea of the naming rights going elsewhere tho!!

The main part of the article that stood out to me is that Tesco will pay their own people to build it.
As for the naming rights, that’s just the way it is these days. It was never gonna be called New Goodison was it?

Its not the right move if it happens but the Club believe it or not have already outlived many thousand of supporters in their lifetime through some of the clubs worst moments in their history. Everton is a tradition to a great many people and that will not be weakened to the majority for both regular and occasional match goers. If Everton are in your heart it is very difficult to let go. Some might but I certainly couldn’t imagine turning my back on the club regardless.
Everton don’t forget are also working on their wider appeal globably with formalised inititives in many countries, in areas were interest in football is a growth area, unlike in the Uk were it is pretty much saturated. These are also areas when the brand is established that could prove possible sources of investment in the future. Just think about it???? Looking at the wider picture can always reveal more opportunities than looking at it as a closed shop scenario of ’this is the end for Everton and nothing good will come out of it’.
Like it or lump the RS are Liverpool City Councils golden child. No amount of sweetners or pressure is going to change that. Liverpool to the council is a major selling point for the Capital of Culture pantomine next year and beyond. The brand that is the RS will be and has been already closely tied in with the promotion of Liverpol 08. Bradley is sending mixed messages out as well. One minute its we’ve found 2 proposed sites, but they’ve been deliberately offered I feel so that one is too far away from almost everyone and the other has very poor transport infrastructure and just to confuse it further he has now come out and questioned why LCC should ’waste’ 50 million of Liverpool Taxpayers money in making land available. So we are clearly not wanted by LCC. They want Walton to become a carpark, so it can be forgotten just as much as they have shamelessly forgotten it so far in terms of regeneration all these years.
As a probable no vote as mentioned, this is not me supporting the move to Kirkby its about looking at the wider issues and appreciating that there will still be opportunities for us to progress even though it won’t be our beloved Goodison Park.
