We all knew where you were coming from when the tickets for the Villarreal game were announced. You don't give a toss about the fantastic fans of our great club. You are not an Evertonian and never will be. It's purely business to you.

Deal of the century? £75 million for a stadium — who's the silent partner? MFI?. We can vote against the move but you say that won't matter. Why give us a vote? Piss off back to Aberdeen and stop embarassing our great club with your silly statements. KEEP EVERTON IN OUR CITY.

I could not agree more but in all honesty I think the vote is just a PR stunt its worded so they can ignore it if they don?t get the result they want

You also may be surprised how many people vote FOR Kirkby. The simple fact is this: without a major new investor, this IS a good deal for Everton.

Like it or not, Wyness is right: what is the alternative? Unlike our neighbours, we cannot afford to build a new stadium ourselves, and nowhere else are we going to find other people (Tescos and Knowsley Council in this case) willing to build one for us.

The only way for us to stay in the city is if we quickly find a VERY rich new investor. I wish we would; but if we don’t, I like many others will be voting for Kirkby.

It fills me with a sorry heart to write this. I’ve just spent the last 15 minutes watching my curser blink whilst I motivate myself into admitting I have no choice but to vote Kirkby.

What kills me more than anything is the sad facts that speak for themselves. You are deluded if you think otherwise. We simply have no choice but to leave our seats behind for the last time

I truly respect the KEIOC stance and admire their devotion to my beloved team but with all the best will in the world football is no longer about blood and guts, it’s about greed and ego.

I really think K Wyness gets a bad rap for anything he does/says.

There?s nothing to suggest that his intentions in the Kirkby proposal are motivated by anything other than the best interests of the club.

Whatever he does/says is picked apart for faults :
1. did he say ?nice little stadium? rather than ?world class? ? shock horror!
2. Someone else complained that the stadium price is too low (!), so it must be an inferior stadium;
3. Above he?s being criticised for running the club like a business (as he clearly should) and not being an Evertonian

I?m not naïve or gullible, but the impression I?ve got from him has always been that he?s got good business acumen.

The problem with Wyness is that he is shite at running a business. What kind of businessman allows a new away kit to be launched on a thursday and then has the club megastore shut all weekend meaning a working fan cant buy one? Surely that is business in its simplest form, you have a product you want to sell....you open your shop FFS!

Unfortunatley I have to agree with Karl Parsons comments above.

We have no choice really about the move. We all read the comments ’no plan B’ and with Bradley stating he is not prepared to match whats on offer from Tesco and Knowsley thats it all over.

We can’t let things like this affect the love we have for one of the most magnificent clubs in the world. We have the greatest fans and one of the proudest histories in English football.

I for one will support EFC wherever they play because the club is in my heart.I will still be upset to leave GP and the City.

Been watching the interview with the double glazing salesman. He says the stadium wont be built with a retail park then says it will be built with a business park, Whats the fucking difference?.The press says it will release £10million for the manager to spend, after tesco take their share. WOW.Wyness clearly says it may release 10 million. Its all bollocks. Its time for the city council to speak up before its to late. I keep thinking, maybe we should have gone down the Paul Gregg road. IF YOUR A TRUE BLUE BILL AND I KNOW YOU ARE, LET GO, LET GO.

I think its time to accept the move, vote yes and enjoy our last 3-4 seasons at Goodison and give the place a proper send-off! I await being told to shut it !!

Here’s what i want to know what exactly tesco’s gonna get out of this deal , are they getting the land were Goodison is now and what else do they get ,sponsorship rights? all season ticket holders to work for free in the hyperstore or what ever the fuck there gonna attach to the ass of this stadium , I’ve got a lot of time for Sir Terry but Tescos haven’t become such a huge company by giving money away to football clubs why dont they just put him in charge of Everton as well this man alone turned there fortunes round maybe he could translate his already amense business acumen to the business of football none of us could question his credentials and background

Whats going on with some people on here? I can’t beleive that the statement from our dictator, I mean director, has caused some fans to be so defeatist over this ground move? Goodison roar anyone? I KNOW we must move from the old lady, that is undisputable in my opinion.
I also know that the deal to Knowsley on the table is a good one (financially for the board I suspect). Yes I do understand that there is clear financial benefits to this ground move, but financial benefits to whom? Certainly not us as fans, and I suspect not to our club. Do you think that this comedy board that we have will lead the club into the new dawn by investing that extra cash on improving our team with the World Class players we so desperately want, I am not that soft. Are we really so naive to accept Wyness’s account that the knowsley move is the be all or end all of things for our beloved club? Get real guys. We have come through togher tests than this. If we move to this proposed new stadium on the basis of what is being said by Wyness it will be a damned tradgedy. As a father I am deeply concerned that my children will not have the RIGHT to support a team from their own home town. It is a catergoric FACT that Gilmoss and Speke are viable sites for the new stadium. It is within OUR city where we have been for the last 129 years. The timing of Wyness coming out with his "only option" statement was clearly to shift an element of fans into the ’knowsley’s better than nothing’ state of mind. I think the whole thing stinks and we should be shown FACTS. What we are being told is only a fraction of the facts. We are being told what THEY (The Board) want us to hear, haven’t we learned anything over the last three seasons. This board is the same board who spearheaded the Kings Dock capitulation and the well documented search for investment.
One pressing need to change before any ground move is the board in my opinion.

Let’s get one thing straight here.

If we, the fans, scupper the Kirkby deal simply because it’s not within our city who will be the first people to start complaining when the huge shadows emerge from Stanley Park in a year or two?

Yes I ache like fuck about moving but as their stadium and financial strategy takes hold they take a giant leap further away from us.
I’ve spent my entire life listening to that shower spurt chunks - What would you rather have, a stadium 4 miles away or a club a million miles away from the RS?

Keep Everton in OUR city?

Your from the Wirral!

Isn’t it funny how people will chop and change ’boundaries’ when it suits them.

Kirkby is still Merseyside and, in fact, if you asked a group of 100 people from anywhere else in the country, then I bet at least 90 of them would say - Liverpool!

We are Everton Football Club. What are you trying to preserve here, that status of EFC or the status of the City of Liverpool?
Rhino

Maybe the answer to all this would be to petition the council into changing the city boundary!
Seriously though, it may also be of interest to you all to know that when Goodison was originally built it was outside the city boundary.
Progress hurts.

I live on the wirral now, born on scotty road, lived in kirkby for most of my life. Our great club started in the city and should remain in the city. The peoples club should remain where the people are. Tell you what lets us have stanley park and let them build one in Norway then the both sets of fans are happy.

Karl,

I understand what your saying but whatever happens across Stanley Park is of absolutely no concern to me. They could have Wembley on stanley park for all I care. What does matter to me is whats going on with Everton. The actual soul of the club is it’s fans, and what bothers me is that no one seems to have the foresight at boardroom level to see that two generations down the line it will be Everton paying the consequences (Financially aswell) for this club being grossly mis-managed. I genuinely beleive that this will rip the heart out of EFC in the not too distant future,
and the only financial benefit we will see is Mr Wyness and Kenwright with fat wallets in 5-7 years time when the money starts rolling in from the new stadium in the hot bed of footballing heritage that is Knowsley.

PS: Lee, I am from Norris Green so what are you on about?

I have no comment to make on the proposed move to Kirkby (I don?t in the UK, not to mind Liverpool so I don?t see why I should be getting involved) but I am a committed Toffee, and have been for 25 years.

One question: KW is told that he?s not an Evertonian and to piss off back to Aberdeen, whilst on other posts BK is slammed for being exactly that and is told to piss off back to the theatre, or whatever. What do we want: a commercial guy who is prepared to make commercial decisions or a "true blue" who can?t?

Hi Danny:

My point was not necessarily about what is happening on the dark side but more a concern about us the fans, putting the noose around our own necks simply because we could not afford to get anyone else to hang us.

We the fans have a part to play. Granted if the ballot goes against the wishes of the board it may not be of real value, in the big scheme of things.

But say the majority did embrace a move? Surely the weaknesses within our corridors of power, that you refer to could be plugged with a show of fan solidarity.

It’s time to forget Liverpool City Council and their promises of ’alternatives’ for several reasons:

1. LCC is full of Kopite Gobs***es - I distinctly remember Everton being flatly turned down quite a while ago when we proposed building on Stanley Park.

2. LCC has suggested a load of brownfield sites in the middle of nowhere. Think there’s nowhere for a pre-match bevvy in Kirkby?? Try finding somewhere in Gillmoss!

3. Money. It’s all very well LCC supplying these ’alternatives’, are they gonna fork out the dosh that Tesco are offering for the Kirkby site. I seriously doubt it. And as for taking Tesco with us - forget that too. It’s only gonna happen if it’s as viable for Tesco as it is for Everton.

Let’s face it, there are no alternatives. And personally I’d rather have blue Bill in charge than some Yank who barely knows what "soccer" is. Keith Wyness is a businessman - give him his due - he’s gotta be ruled by his head, not his heart. What is best for the club, not what is best for fans who are living in the past with their dreams of a born again Goodison. Deal of the century? Maybe not quite that good, but awfully close.

John Aldridge, you are right about keith Wyness being ruled by his head.Don’t you realise by brokering this deal he will be on a big fat comission.
