Club Constitution

I had a letter here last year suggesting that Everton FC adopt a club constitution regarding rules on the structure of the club at boardroom level, the decision making processes, transparency etc.

This was largely ignored at best or ridiculed in some quarters yet it would have prevented the present situation of a couple of power-mad dreamers running out of control and carrying out unilateral action that threatens the very existence.

Nice thought, Paul... but completely misguided and erroneous. Such a "constitution" exists already: the so-called Articles of Association. And guess what? It was re-written by those very power-mad dreamers to suit their current and foreseeable needs ? including some unbelieveable provisions that make "Conflict of Interst" a wholly redundant concept ? at least in the case of Everton Boardmembers!
