Well done, Keith!

I don`t expect to be very popular for saying it but a big `well done` to Keith Wyness for bringing us to the brink of aquiring a new stadium for next to nothing. Whatever you say about his record to date, he`s worked wonders to pull off a deal like this. I was mightily impressed by what he had to say on the video-link and I do hope that all those entitled to vote will listen carefully to what him before opting to stay put at Goodison.
I`m aware that Kenwright and Wyness `have form` as far as many Evertonians are concerned but I do feel they are playing a blinder on this occasion.
Let`s give them all our support and thus secure the future of our great club.

That's good, George. Now tell me this: will you still be as appreciative when you know the role this incredible deal will play in their individual quest to amass quite the personal fortunes that will see them and their families in the lap of luxury for many many years to come? Because the indications are that is the upside for them, and the Articles of Association referred to below incredibly provide the pathway for the likes of Wyness and our unpaid members of Everton's Board. As they say... Follow the Money Trail!

Michael, isn’t that what every owner of a business is trying to do make money. But you can’t make money on a bad business deal. If it puts money in their pockets then it must be doing good business for Everton, since their business is Everton. And what would a new investor come here for, the sentiment of the fan? No, to put money in their pocket, but all I see is people crying out for a sugar daddy.

well said davo, why because the board make money is it a bad deal for the club, if the owners don’t make any money how can it be a good deal for efc or do you think they should donate everything they earn to the transfer fund, or did BK not practically already do that, second mortgage etc.

What a load of rubbish that Wyness has come out with about there being no plan B if we don't move to Kirkby: "there is no other option for the club." What he means there is no other option without Tesco's cash so if they want a Supermarket in Kirkby then that is where our stadium will be.
I still can't believe there is no other sites available for two football clubs in a big city like Liverpool, they built huge housing estates on Croxteh and Walton Park's green space so what about the derelict boot estate in Norris Green? If liverpool can redevelop the Anfield area why shouldn't we do Nogsy? Nothing would make me happier if the fans voted largely against moving to Kirkby but I feel Wyness and Co will make sure they will whitewash the move before voting forms are sent out ? and let's not forget a lot of the voters will be young fans or fans not from the city itself so they will see it as hoorah.

I was just wondering how KW can say the fanbase will increase if we move to Kirkby? I would imagine match ticket and season ticket prices will go sky high.So what happens to the fanbase who are struggling now to attend games? If you are a parent and taking two kids, what is it going to cost? It might be to expensive for that season ticket, so fans could jib it and pick and choose games. You could end up with low turnouts for the likes of Wigan and Blackburn etc games. Also, I know Kirkby is only 4 miles from goodison, but it adds on extra travel expense. It could end up were a lot of fans have to jack in going the game because it is to expensive. I know it's all if's and but's, but it could happen.

I’m sorry Brian, but if the extra 4 miles of travel is too expensive for someone to travel, then they are not going to be able to afford to go to the game anyway. The fact is that if we are a winning side the fans will turn up to see us play Wigan, Blackburn, or whoever it is if they think there will be an Everton side on the pitch that is going to win.

David, your missing the point. What I am saying,if there is a young lad now,who can just about scrape his ticket money. And then he has to find an extra fiver+ for the journey to Kirby. This might be just a fiver to far,so whereas he might go 12 home games a season,he might have to make it 9 home games a season to be able to afford it.I,m in a priveliged position because money is not a problem for me.I missed 3 home games last season and have just over an 8hour round trip so the extra 4 miles is not a problem, and I’m grateful I can do it.But that little bit extra could be a problem for some fans.
