The Best of Both Worlds...

Having read David Roscoe's article this morning I have now believe that the best approach to the stadium debate would be for all voters to abstain.

As I have previously said, I do not feel that anyone of the voters has sufficient information on which to base a decision of this magnitude and that therefore the vote will be pointless. This being the case, if everyone abstained, the decision would rest firmly in the hands of the board - no-one else could be blamed in the future for what happens, BK and the rest could not shirk their responsibilities and maybe, just maybe, they can be convinved to approach this properly; rather than hide behind exclusivity deals and mis-information.

Michael, Lydon - how about a vote on this on the site? To Abstain or Not Abstain?

Abstain or not - I don’t think it make any difference

There are two possible scenarios for the ballot.

a) The wording will be adjusted to provide the board the required outcome. i.e. Do you believe the clubs best interests and long term stability will be best served by a move to a new stadium - Yes or No?
b) A fair ballot resulting in rejection of the move to Kirkby will be carefully considered by the board and then ignored on the grounds that the clubs best interests and long term stability will be best served by a move to a new stadium

Or am I just too cynical for my own good.

Mike, you’re too cynical for your own good.
