William Chang, part-owner of the San Francisco Giants baseball team and MLS side DC United, is looking to invest in a Premier League club. (The Times)

The problem seems to be that while BK says he is looking for an investor,he has never said he wants to sell-up and piss off! All the big take-overs recently have been just that, takeovers! Same with Arsenal, they would welcome someone coming in and handing over cash but not to actually own the club lock, stock and barrel.

Richard, saw that one myself mate and had exactly the same thoughts as you!

However, remember that Billy and Friend are "searching 25 hours a day" for investment, so you have to believe that they have probably already put the poor bastard off any idea of investing in us.

What’s the odds on reading in a few weeks time that Mr Chang has decided to invest in Carlisle Utd or Scunthorpe etc....?

I pointed out some time ago that even in the dark days of the bullshit Fortress twaddle Billy Bullshitter was only looking for people to hand over great wads of cash for fuck all power in return, who in their right mind would want a piece of that?

the best person to invest into our great club would be sir Macca and father who are supposed to be blues. now that he is going through a divorce, let him pump some of his millions into a new ground and team so BK can still run the club and he hasn’t got to so much left to give to HM.
On a serious note surely the board know how important it is to get money and quick or we will end up being the laughing stock on merseyside. We can no longer go on about being a big club if things don’t change. not long ago Leeds, Sheff Wed and Forest were supposed to be big clubs but look at them.

By the way sir macca is not a blue. Nor is he a red. He is indifferent. He just doesn;t like football. It was recently settled by a biographer who has known him since a kid. He is never going to invest.

Jason,I don’t really think you could call Macca a real blue.I remember hearing somewhere, that he went to one game as a kid.And said something like he would probalby say we were his team if he had a choice. Also,as far as I know he hates football.

I remember hearing an interview with Macca saying he leans towards Everton but has no intentions to invest because he would rather use is money to help people and make world peace etc
