Fool-Proof Plan

Comments (3)

When we move to Kirkby, instead of selling Goodison, we keep it and remortgage it to fund the new stadium. That way if the new stadium is gash, we'll move back to Walton in time for the next home game, sell the new stadium, pay off the mortgage and buy a new left back with the spare cash.

There's just one small wrinkle in your fool-proof plan: who'll buy the "glorified cow shed" in Kirkby? Sorry, couldn't resist... ;)

For what it’s worth, Roy, I think that Bradley’s "glorified cow shed" comment was a little unnecessary. I know it’s an emotive issue and I know that he was trying to infer that we’d moving into the sticks and not necessarily attacking the stadium’s design but I think he could have chosen his language a little more carefully.
