Information we should have before a vote

I may be getting confused but we already own the land and Goodison can be redeveloped into a 55,000 seater stadium. We even have a published feasibility study showing it can be done. What we don't have are up-to-date financial projections. Why don't the club at least update the financial projections from the Ward McHugh Associates study and then we can at least compare the two options, ie, Kirkby or a redeveloped Goodison Park.

Given how serious the ramifications are about moving this is the least that they can do if we are to have a meaningful vote.

It may be all well and good to get an updated projection of the costs to redevelop Goodison, but the crux of the matter is that we can’t afford it. Fact.
So as most people surely must be aware of that, it is therefore pointless to have to have a vote on this matter when its a total non-starter.

Non starter? Clubs are being invested in, bought, taken over all around us..... and yet staying at Goodison is a non-starter? There’s a 100 billion man hours of Evertonian memories invested in that place and yet its a non-starter. In otherwords it is valueless..... Marvellous!
How about the Tunnel loop then? Or are you so desperate for Kirkby that’s a non-starter too? There are lots of potential schemes for both these sites. Wyness knows it, and he knows some are not far off fruition..... maybe it doesn’t suit him though! But take it as read, that if the vote was for any of these sites with equal backing etc..... No-one would vote for Kirkby! Not bad for non-starters!!!

If there were schemes with equal backing Wyness would look at them, he wants to make the right decision for the business and for his own reputation and career.

Re-iterating Glynne’s point, we don’t have the money to move or redevelop without some help. It’s pointless saying other clubs have received investment because we haven’t and it, currently, doesn’t look likely. Re-developing Goodison requires that parts be closed (assuming the extra land could be obtained and this isn’t certain) resulting in loss of revenue for the 4-6 years that the development takes.

The club don’t have the money and reducing revenue would make matters even worse. If you think the transfer situation this summer’s been bad imagine at least 4 years with even less money.

I’d rather we stay in Liverpool but unless something happens soon then we’ve little choice.

I have decided that I will vote a yes for the stadium move.
The following points have made my mind up for me.
1) We need a new stadium.
2) If we develop GP it will be in the shadows of the redshites new toiletdrome.
3) We can’t afford to build a new stadium and/or develop GP without investment.
4) If we wait for investment to come it could take years then we will fall further behind other clubs.
5) Staying at GP will have it’s issues in the coming years i.e. maintenance etc.

As much as I love Goodison Park and the fact it is in the city, with the LCC saying they WILL NOT match Tescos offer then we would be foolish to dismiss this so easily.

I don’t want to leave the city and I love our club but i will follow wherever we play.

When are Tom Hughes and others going to get it!!! There is no alternative this red herring loop will not be financed and redeveloping Goodison is a non starter.
It’s move or bust i’m afraid so it’s time to start focusing on the positives and every one get behind the move as I for one don’t want to see my first love go to the wall.

If they have already had surveys and financial projections done years ago and it wasnt feasable then I doubt it would be now either because dont know if you have noticed but prices tend to go up and up in this country and most others, lets face it!

Why dont we either buy Anfield and develop it or just play there while we develop Goodison Park? - Problem solved.
