African Nations Cup

It just occured to me, are we likely to lose our new South African acquisition for the African Nations cup this season. We need to consider this when building our squad as with Joey Yobo also away a few injuries could see us in bit of trouble.

Not to mention Vic when he inevitably breaks in. Hopefully we will have the players to cover.

Well its obvious to me that Everton still have a very small squad and Moyes knows he must buy more players at least before the end of August if not before the season begins..We will lose Pienaar and Yobo and probably big Victor when the African nations cup starts but thats luckily a while off..We could do with a left back, Ive heard Baines name mentioned again and we need a striker for sure and maybe another midfielder..Whats happened to this Vogel deal?. Does anyone know anything?. I havent heard it mentioned since last Thursday..Is the deal dead or what?. Im happy with Pienaar and Jagielka but I would still be dissapointed should we not sign at least two more players..Lets see if Keith Wyness is going to be true to his word..The quote went ’we will have all our new faces in before the season starts and we are working on many things behind the scenes’.

I am from SA, here is the Fixtures for SA, obviously Pienaar will play only in the Zambia and Moz games.

22 August
Scotland v South Africa

8 September
South Africa v Zambia

17 October
Italy v South Africa

17 November
South Africa v USA

13 January
South Africa v Mozambique
