White Knight

There would now appear to be a White Knight entering the fray: The Bestway site. This must be an option and a more grandiose one than Kirkby. One that Everton deserves and is befitting a club with our heritage. Everton are not MK Dons. This is a prime city location, visible from all over the city centre, with the right forethought it could be a legacy for future Evertonians to look at with pride and remember, that even in the bad old days, we were always the People's Club and always the first club in the city. Now Mr Kenwright that could be your legacy to the club. (If only you had the courage to see it through).

The Asian businessman who runs Bestway is no fool and if he thinks this can be achieved then I would hope EFC would act quickly and meet with him to evaluate the scheme and make it happen. Everton?s image would massively improve worldwide. The city centre location would have even greater appeal to would be investors. Now this could be a once in a lifetime opportunity and having read the posts regarding LCC /KINGS DOCK and been around witnessing the other fiascos involving Everton over the last 20 years, can the Club prove that it has the Balls, Vision and Ambition to match the fans??

This site with its location would attract both people and companies wishing to invest be it in retail, housing or leisure/hotels, also I would bet that there would be massive regeneration grants available. A win-win situation where LCC have another massive regeneration of an inner city area and Everton get the stadium it needs and deserves. Not a supermarket with a large auditorium.

I also believe that Everton fans around the world could raise in excess of £50M by way of a share issue. Also in this day and age what would the naming rights of such a stadium generate? This could be deliverable to use a paraphrase. If the club had the vision and the leadership it deserves EFC would make this happen ? the fact that many seem to think that no plan, other than the tie in with Tesco, will happen, is why there exists the mountain of mistrust against Mr W and Mr K. Let us just hope the vote on Kirkby is massively an overwhelming NO...
