Bye Bye Biffa

So it seems it's finally time to say sayanara to Biffa. I think this is good for Everton and the Blades, who have bid £4M.
Biffa was a whole-hearted 100%-effort player who alas lacked the finer skills and turn of speed needed at the top level despite some impressive goals at Soton. Getting £4M for a player who has a problem scoring is a real deal at this stage depite paying more for him. Good luck to Biffa and hopefully the £4M will get the Blues some further back-up.

errr...he was never whole-hearted or gave 100% in a blue shirt in my opinion, which the stats seem to agree with. Only when the england squad was being decided for the world cup - which coincidentally coincided with his only scoring run in 2 years to date.
Bye bye Biffa.

Jeremy don’t count your chickens just yet mate.At the end of the day, the final say will be down to Beattie.Somehow I can’t see him agreeing to move down a division and probalby having to take a cut in wages.

Never seemed to be up to pace last season, and blew every chance that came his way. He was a distant second to Anichebe in nearly every attribute.
I had high hopes when he arrived, and he seems a genuine and nice guy, but I think he needs to move on, its just not working out.

Has anyone from either club confirmed this bid? Everyones talking as if hes already left, this is just paper speculation! My bet is Beattie will still be at Everton on Sept 1st.

I agree with Brian, no championship side will pay £28K per week for a lardarse like Beattie....Manager would have to be brain dead...Mmm it is Robson though..Beattie’ll still be picking splinters out of his backside at Goodison until Bosman calls..

Beattie vs Smith
Beattie is the absolute hands down winner, Smith doesn't offer anything more than Beattie does, at least Beattie has it in him to score 20+ Smith is just a hardworker, hope we keep Beattie he can come good now we have wingers.
