If you really knew your history

Comments (3)

I've been reading with disbelief all of the posts screaming that Everton should remain within the boundaries of the city of Liverpool as otherwise we would be turning our back on history. To all those who spout this nonsense can I refer you to a page on this very site. And a further page on another site, where you should scroll down to the last sentence in the section on the nineteenth century. Do you see?

When Everton moved to Goodison Park it was not in Liverpool. If you know your history you will realise that in order to progress we moved out of the footprint of the city once before. Please stop using 'history' as a reason not to move to Kirby because if you truly knew your history you would realise it IS a reason to move there.

If you think I’m gonna read all that, you’re off your rocker.

It’s not Barry’s fault if people won’t look at the evidence. I hope all the Everton fans who get to vote in the upcoming ballot will at least finish reading the question before ticking ’yes’ or ’no’.

Liverpool is already felt to include places like Formby, Aintree, and Kirkby, and it’s likely it will officially include all these in the years to come.

It’s a bit of a difference reading one question to all that malarkey.

We’re going to Kirkby anyway so what does it matter?
