Always look on the brightside?

Not much of a brightside, but anyway here goes: England are bidding for the 2018 World Cup. Now cities are limited to one stadium per city under hosting rules?

Now if worst comes to worst and we end up in Kirkby... Which isn't part of Liverpool, does that mean that we can host World Cup games?? (Because to be fair, if there was a choice for them to make, it wouldn't be us would it?)

I did warn it wasn't much of a brightside but hey, season is almost back... And I for one cannot wait.

It’s... a side alright. Just not a bright one!

I wonder how many Evertonians really give a toss about the England side. I certainly don’t.

It won’t make a shadow of a difference to anyone who is either for or against Kirkby in knowing we might host Peru v Saudi Arabia in eleven years time!

Look, I have to admit, this whole stadium things has got too much for me now. And I was reading about the World Cup thing and thought, well, least that something..

Thought it would be a little bit different to everything else.

Because this pre season has been all loops and falls and Cultural Theory and will he won’t he..

Much credit to everyone that has written on the stadium issue both sides, but my head exploded some point last week over it.

And I must admit, I would love to see a World Cup Match held at our home ground, wherever that will be.

Even possibly Peru vs Saudi Arabia!

Dave Turner, What can the darkside offer but negativity and misery wrapped up in what Marshy et al call realism.
I urge you Dave to keep looking on the bright side and not succumb to the growing band of doom and gloom merchants.
I am not concerned about our lack of action in the transfer market Of last season’s top six clubs only Everton without the need of new signings had the potential to improve. The other five were as good as they were ever going to get and only by spending ridiculous over inflated prices could they hope to keep us at bay.
David Moyes is building a magnificent footballing dynasty that only needs a bit of tinkering around the edges. O yea of little faith, take a walk with me and Doddy on the sunny side. It will do you more good than counting chickens before they are crossed.

Dave Fearon.I’m not being negative here, but I already think your walking in cloud cuckoo land mate."David Moyes is building a magnificent footballing dynasty"Out of the first 11 there are 4 players with real quality, the rest are average players. We havn’t got a pot to piss in,No quality in depth, never mind numbers in depth. The football we played for most of last season was some of the worst I had seen in a long time at goodison. When have we even got close to winning anything?Moyes is a good manager, not god.
