Board are confident

Comments (9)

The Everton Board are very confident that the magical 50.1% 'Yes' vote will be reached giving them the mandate to press ahead with the Kirkby move. Perhaps this is because they are sending more than 50% of ballot papers outside of the Liverpool post-codes? Believe it or not, we probably have as many season ticket holders living outside of the Liverpool boundary as we do inside ? despite the 'People's Club' label.

In other words, this is what makes them confident that they will get their mandate. Whilst you could never say that these 'outsiders' will vote for the move, perhaps the emotional tie with the City will not be as strong as their 'insider' counterparts. I fear we are all being led up the garden path and that the result is a formality based on the voting fan base

The train is leaving.... no choice I fear but to hop on and look to the future where we are in a stronger position to attract investment. Of the RS jibe "only one club in Liverpool" ? well a couple of resounding Derby victories will soon silence those gobshites. COYB.

What derby victories? The Liverpool-Knowsley derby? Don’t call them derbies any more once Wyness has had his way.

Blah blah I live outside Liverpool and I’ll vote against the move. Are we getting this rubbish about only "true liverpudlians should be able to vote" again?

Well its a sad time when wyness and kenwright would be happy with a 1% swing in their favour. When really, they should be looking for at least a 80% in favour of a move. Remember in ten, fifteen years time, all these people of the club ramming it down your throat to move, They want be here. WE WILL.

You do have a choice.

Don’t just "hop on" because you think something is inevitable. Use your vote to stop the train.

I live in Blackpool so Kirkby might be easier to get to BUT I will be voting NO for the good of the club and the vast majority of fans who live in Liverpool.

Totally agree with Erik - there are no disctinctions between Evertonians we’re all one and the same. I live on the Wirral - I’ll be voting no.

The Wirral has a CH postcode and I suspect that the majority of ballots being sent outside of the L postcode area will go there. For Wirralites it will be much harder getting to Kirkby than Goodison (or the Loop); so please don’t make out that its only Liverpudlians with reservations over Kirkby.

Born in Liverpool - always a blue with my dad. Have moved to Wigan, Cheshire and now ion Formby. Two boys - one in Leeds and the other in Hull. 3 season tickets never miss a game. All voting NO - enough said. BK and KW shouldn’t underestimate the feelings of Evertonians and their passion.
