Rechnet nicht!

In a front-page snippet about Everton vs. Werder Bremen the visitors are referred to by the epither "Sahne der Rhine". Now, Babel fish tells me that this translates from German as 'Cream of the Rhine'. However, Bremen is on the River Weser — nowhere near the Rhine! Am I missing something?

Apologies for the typo, I did of course mean to type "epithet".

Of course, were this really German, it would be "Rhein" not "Rhine".

The only apparent connection between Sahne and Werder Bremen is the occasional comment of "erste Sahne" ("top notch") from their fans.
