Aigburth

I'll possibly be voting yes for the Kirkby move as regardless of moves by LCC & Bestway I just cannot see where the money is coming for the loop. What I really would like to know and a 1000 apologies if it's already been mentioned but what is wrong with the old festival site in Aigburth just a corner of that would be enough for a stadium and a good sized Tesco as they've only got a Metro down there at the minute.

Is there not housing development ongoing on that site now, of the old Festival site?
