Why 1% swing?

Surely if Bill Kenwright loves, believes, has faith in the fans "the Goodison family" (not my words, Bills} then why is he stating, if the vote is 51% for, we are off to Kirkby? Surely if we are in this together as a family, we all go, or at least 80%, then we stay.

Its because BK really wants the move as he thinks its the best way forward for Everton so if there is just 1 more vote in favour of the move than against then we’ll be off! Plus at the end of the day he didnt even have to hold the vote as he is in a position where he could just choose to be dictator, so I think its fair!

It’s a voting system called "Proportional Representation". It means that whoever gets over 50% gets the keys to the door. Fairest way to do it - the only contention being who is being balloted and why others are being left out, which has to be handled delicately so as to avoid allegations of a fix.

I think the stadium will be voted down due to the fact the hardcore element of fans who will bend over backwards to vote will almost all vote no - these include old season ticket holders with memories of grandeur from the 80’s as well as their kids who have grew up with the same memories banged into them about the majestic Goodison heyday.

Nothing wrong with that at all, of course - i’m in that group!!!

Judging by the majority of posts on this and other sites it looks to me like the vote will a landslide victory for the ’no move vote’
So as there is no plan ’B’ why not bolt another tier on to the Park End, giving 6000 more seats with unobstructed views, see if we fill the ground every week, then worry about if we have to move.

1%, 25% 85%. It’s all irelevant. If you think two cynical b******* like Wyness and Leahy are going to worry about the result of this ballot, you’re wrong. It’s next stop Skag Hall, Asbotown
