So it looks like Cahill's done summat dodgy to his already dodgy foot then ? bummer, hope he's not out for too long this time.

Baines bid accepted by Wigan apparently ? good news, 6M so they say... possibly with a player swap, I just hope its not Carsley, we need him.

Beattie to Blackburn? Non, they just bought Roque Santa Cruz so I very much doubt they'll want Beattie ? he's off to Sheff Utd surely?

Benni McCarthy at Goodison last night.... to watch Pienaar nothing more, let's not get ahead of ourselves!

Alan Smith in Newcastle talks today with us 'mulling over' a bid, mulling over? Let's just stick in a bid, whats to mull over? If we have the option to mull it over then we must have some cash to spend right? Otherwise there's no mulling to be done! Just buy the fella!

Can’t be Carsley. He’s been busy telling us all how brilliant the Kirkby move is gonna be!

My only worry re Carsley is that he goes to Wigan as part of the Baines deal - Wigan tried to buy him last year remember.

Although not the source of fully reliable info the Mail, (I think it was) suggested the swap player was Shandy Andy. How anyone possibly thought he is worth £2mill I’ll never know though

I haven’t seen it reported that any bid has for sure been accepted.

There is speculation on the BBC website and a few others though, that an improved Cash only bid has been presented by Everton to Wigan.

All down to wait and see.

Some chap on one of the Bluekipper forums reckons that Baines has a 4.5 million buy out clause in his contract! Anyone heard similar?
David Smith

You mean the contract we hope he’s just signed for Everton or the contract he had with Wigan and which Sunderland were prepared to pay considerably more to end ?

It looks to me as if it is a done deal, might be a bit awkward going back to Wigan after watching the blues against WB.
However if Tim’s injury is as bad as we fear we got to get the cheque book out for others. If we dont it will be another brief appearance in Europe, wasting all the hard work from last season.
