Vogel and EFC mouthing off too soon?

Comments (9)

What has happened to the Vogel scoop? EFC appear to have clammed up on the issue! And they were oh-so confident too. It is an absolute tragic-comedy at Goodison sometimes. I have to wonder, will they claim to have signed Baines and then later issue a press release from HQ states that "Leighton Baines has been kidnapped by aliens who are refusing to let him go as he is their spitirual leader". I don't know, stranger things appear to be happen at Everton these days....

Is your vogel question a rhetorical one? If not the deal fell through because he had claimed to be available on a free but his club said this was not the case and demanded one so we have either pulled out or are playing hardball.

As for the Leighton Baines question I assume they won’t put out a story about aliens they will probably eother buy him or not buy him

I would like to know who the "2 or 3 players" David Moyes plans to have before the transfer deadline are and if he will be allowed to get them.

Andy,

These things happen in football. Barton to Newcastle was held up because of a so called ’loyalty’ bonus.

Why are people so keen to find fault in everything and anything ?

Tom maybe its something to do with the constany stream of lies coming out of GP.
In the last 12 months we have lost Kilbane Naysmith Davies Weir Pistone (OK)Wright and Fernandes from what is considered to be the smallest squad in the Premier.
We have bought 1 player and got one on loan.
That is why people are moaning!and this bullshit about freebies from Tesco just gets us all in one camp or the other.
All I know is that everybody on this site cares about EFC and while some are more chilled than others we must all rememeber our motto for over 100 years - NIL SATIS NISI OPTIMUM> Vote no to Kirby and get bullshit Billy out.

1) yes it is rhetorical, I’m being slightly sarky
2) I am was trying to be ironic given the air of doom and gloom surrounding our transfer dealings of late.

I thought I would try and inject some humour into proceedings, but having read my comments back, I can see how they could be misconstrued!

I think ’losing’ the following is great:- "Kilbane Naysmith Davies Weir Pistone (OK)Wright and Fernandes" - apart from Fernandes, of course.
People moan a lot on this site but want do they really want? To be owned by American money grabbers, Russian criminals or Thai human rights violators?. I will take Kenwright over these any day I hope it’s okay me posting here as I live in Essex now. (My first game was in 1966 when we played Aalborg and my last was against Portsmouth when Arteta was fantastic). I apologise for not living in Liverpool.

I would like to think that Everton can compete on the highest level. I am a blue, ever since my dad took me as a 4 year old to a match and bought me an everton sticker. I was there in the eighties and remember it all. Times have changed. I can understand that now is so different. However, I do think that Moyes has made some astute purchases on the cheap. Arteta, Cahill, Lescott, Howard. The whole lot cost less than lesser clubs are paying for lesser players ie west ham tottenham paying 10 - 15 miliion on players. I think that to have more players not playing is also bad for team morale. I would rather have arteta, cahill than rooney. They are more blue now than he will ever be.

That’s not quite right. If you are including players sold during last summer, then let’s include players bought during the same transfer window.
I would say in the last 12 months we have brought in Lescott, AJ, Howard, Spencer, Jagielka, Lucas....., Fernandes, Peinnar (loan), possibly others that I can’t think off at the moment. So really, we have increased the numbers by one, and out of those who have gone, how many are you going to miss?

Paul Hardy...I really do not care who takes over Everton Football Club mate..As long as we can once again compete with the top teams both on and off the pitch.. The boss of my old work place was a bent corrupt little shit but what the hell has that got to do with me?. Nothing at all as long as Im being paid...E.F.C is the same..Its a team I support and want to see winning trophies once again..Will we ever do this under Kenwright?? Like shite we will..Bill K is happy just to stay up every season..There has never ever been a sign of any investment coming into our club while Kenwright has been here..Yet the Kings Dock plan fell apart under Kenwright and this stadium move will be the same probably.. Move on and lets get Everton F.C out of the 60’s.. We have to move on and realise that football is now a business and sadly you cannot have someone running a club simply because they are a fan..Where do you think Arsenal, Man Utd, Chelsea and Liverpool would be if they all had diehard fans managing them and running them?. Nowhere at all thats where..BK has steadied the ship but he cant do any more to take Everton to the next level.
