In the sticky brown

Hardly a ball has been kicked and Everton are in the sticky brown stuff! Moyes`s tardiness in the transfer market ? or is it Kenwright`s meanness with the chequebook? ? means that with just over a week until kick-off Everton are under-resourced to meet the challenges ahead. A fool could have predicted that players would be injured in the run-up to the season although only the most pessimistic would have forecast the loss of two vital players ? probably until after Christmas.

The club seems to have missed out on all its early targets, either because the fees could not be met or,more probably, because the going rate for top tier wages is completely outside Everton`s parsimonious budget. All this focus on the ground move may well have diverted attention away from team matters but for the second time in two years, we go into the season totally under-equipped.

Now we all know that Moyes is happy to dance to his piper`s tune but isn`t it about time he told his paymasters some home truths? `They usually come up with what I ask for`, he`s said in the past but if that`s the truth (I don`t believe it is!) then he'd better start highering his horizons.

Let`s face it, Everton are `boraxic lint` with even shoo-in transfers like Baines having to be strung out until `easy terms` can be negotiated. It`s well known in the business that the club is a nightmare to deal with on any matter involving finance and this summer`s inactivity reflects that fact. No doubt we shall see a flurry of last minute activity with the arrival of panic buys like VdM and loans of obscure foreigners. Then will follow the excuses ? always preceded by `I don`t ever blame injuries but...` Why the fuck am I an Evertonian?

Not sure where you’re getting it that the two players will be out until after Christmas. It’s August 2nd now, Christmas is 5 months away, neither player is said to be out that long. The club is saying that Cahill’s injury is not as bad as is being reported, but this just fucking sucks. What the fuck is causing all these players to break their feet!!! These types of breaks did not happen a few years ago, they need to sort out the reason!!!!!!!!!!

Very eloquently put Ron. I’m still harbouring hopes we can bum rush Beattie out the door and get Smith in but it’s looking more and more unlikely now. As for being a supporter? - well it’s like the trials of Hercules

The sooner we get rid of luvvy Kenwright, Buster and fucking dithering Dave the better. Our only salvation is an outside investor coming in and getting rid of these bloody clowns. Say your prayers tonight - get rid of these fucking imbeciles
