The Mail Bag

Postman Bill

See the below from the Everton website. Looks like Bill has had a word with his pall at the Royal Mail union and organised a strike to ensure ballots aren't posted and treated as Yes votes. What should I do if I haven't received my voting pack?

There is an on-going Royal Mail Postal strike which will effect the delivery of all post. If you haven't received your voting form by Friday 10th August, then please contact us on 0208 889 9203. As appropriate, Electoral Reform Services will then distribute duplicate packs.

On a side note, went to Shea Stadium on Saturday where they're constructing a new stadium right next door. Yanks really know how to involve fans in things like that. Showed a movie of the new stadium and how the fans will experience it. Us Brits are crap at selling things to people! Work with a guy that named his son after the stadium, Shea. Not sure I've ever met somebody called Goodison Park but I did meet a guy called Everton in the Caribbean once!

Sorry, that should be Sir Everton Weekes, and he WAS actually named after a famous footie teamt hat his Dad supported.

No idea who Everton Weekes is but if he’s working as a barman in a hotel, it could have been him!
