Another full-back?

Everton have been linked with a move for Elfsborg full-back Daniel Mobaeck. The 27-year-old has earned rave reviews since being converted to a defender from a striker, by coach Magnus Haglund.
Mobaeck impressed many onlookers last week when he scored the winner in Elfsborg's 1-0 UEFA Champions League qualifier in Debrecen.
The player himself admits he would be tempted by a move to England. "Of course, I would be interested in playing in the Premier League," declared Mobaeck. "If an offer comes, which is right for both the club and me, I am of course interested. It's obvious that it is noticed in Europe when you score in an important match."
The player's agent Martin Klette would not confirm that David Moyes's side were amongst those interested - with Strasbourg also said to be keeping close tabs on Mobaeck. However, Klette did admit he did know of interest from two clubs. "I can confirm that two European clubs have enquired about Daniel, but I can't say which," Klette told Expressen.

I agree, the fact that we are linked with this full back could mean that the Baines transfer has fallen through. But let’s not get ahead of ourselves just yet.

Its pure speculation being linked with this guy, it even states in the article they don’t know who the English clubs are.
Lets have some positive thinking... We will sign Baines!

FFS EFC are taking the pee - how long does it take to sign a player??? Baines should be in the bag by now, I bet the red scum come in to steal him. Man City Have signed 7 players in 2 weeks- I think the Management are taking the pee out of EFC Fans.....will not pay my hard earned money until they show ambition. I dont want some swedish left back - never heard of him- I demand Baines comes in 0 he wil be worth double within a year COYB SORT IT OUT.

I just want to smack BK in the face - every time i see him he has a cheeky smirk on his face - probably pocketing all the EFC profits
Get Baines In

Never mind another fullback ! We need help in other areas although Valente was woeful the other night and at fault for both goals. We need Manny and a decent forward Baines would be a luxury I d like.

Valente is cr@p - any one with pace will just un past him, Bains has to be a cert as he can also attack the Flank as VDM is a bit unreliable !
I say If EFC don’t make any decent signings - need min 2 more then we should boycott the Wigan Game !!!

Valente is rubbish?!!! What utter drivel. Valente was outstanding for the first 70 minutes against Bremen... superb vision, excellent passing. He doesn’t have pace agreed, but he does know how to defend.

Valente is not all that- he was a good player but too injury proned and very slow - he was still at fault for both Bremen Goals. He will be ok as a back up to Baines whio is different class

Rupert the truth is he was at fault for both goals and lacked pace. Remember the tempo of the game was slow which suits him-put it this way how well will he do against Ronaldo and Lennon being realistic ?

Everton linked with garden elf would be more like it. Get rid of the fucking buffoons running our club before it’s too late

Blue Shaun Cook - I didn’t think the first half was all that slow to be honest mate - but I do agree that Valente does lack pace. I would actually fancy Valente to stay and teach Baines a thing or two and bring him on...
I do think that Valente’s passing was good though, he linked well with Arteta down the left all game.

Valente’s a player. He’s ageing in dog years, though.
Can still play the ball - wonderful to watch him cross a ball - but he was never quick and is glacier like, now.
Excellent back up, through. So Baines would be a handy addition right about now.

Just in response to danny obrien - yes, he played in a CL qualifier, but we’re in the UEFA cup and playing in one competition for one club doesn’t make you cup-tied in another competition. Observe Javier Mascherano for proof.
