So, the view of the 'new Goodison'. How do they plan to build that exactly? Whip it up during the summer or build one stand at a time? ? neither are viable options.

And the scheme to build a hotel and apartments next to the stadium ? what about all the houses and people that live there plus the church? You'd have to buy them out at considerable cost.

And who is going to stay at this hotel in the Goodison district of Liverpool ? who on earth would want to stay there apart from nights when there's a game on?

Don't get me started on the Loop plan either with Reg Holdsworth and Betterbuy. Wouldn't it be great sitting in a stadium with traffic whizzing past in sight...

For me, Kirkby's the only viable plan on the table and we shouldn't let our hearts stop us doing the right thing. That's what our forefathers believed when they split and moved to Goodison Park in the first place. It was the right thing to do at the time (and we all know what happened to those that wanted to stay). It's a brave thing Bill is doing balloting the fans - not many chairmen would these days. Let's give him some credit on that at least.

Differences adide, everyone wants the best for Everton and people will disagree whatever decision is made. I just hope we're not sitting here in 5 years with a knackered old ground whilst the Derby's of the world are overtaking us.

When you say, ’sitting here’ do you mean New York or Liverpool? If its the former then I’d be quite pleased with myself.

I’ve been to Standard Liege’s "Cauldron of Sclessin" and the traffic whizzing down the hill next to the stadium is a lovely sight, especially during floodlit matches.

It really is one of those oddities that can ease the feeling that you’re sitting in an inch-perfectly calculated, airtight revenue-generating box.

There are many grounds around the country with busy main roads very close by, St James Park in Newcastle, Turf Moor in Burnley.

Even Goodison has a very busy main road not too far away and has streets all around hemming it in.

An old and unwelcomed suggestion of mine, but a way around rebuilding Goodison and still being able to pack in 40,000 fans while it’s done. Move to anfield for two years. And paint the thing blue.

Squeals will come and are understandable. But, being there did not make Liverpool feel less Liverpool just because we were there before them. And it shouldn’t for us. And even if, it would be just for a couple of years. And we’d just be going back to our own home. Stick that to the Reds.

And of course, the suggestion depends on two things. 1. That building Goodison to 50-57,000 with modern corp facilities is more than just some pipe-dream AND is "deliverable". 2. We’d have to wait for them to move out, and so would be waiting for another three years, and five for the new Goodison.

What? No? Oh, alright then, that’s fine. So, we’ll just head up the motorway to Kirkby. That could be done instead.

Jeez, you have seen two old arial views only..... judge when you have seen the lot (and even then these are only preliminary concepts). That said, there’ll be far more info/figures presented tomorrow than has been released by Everton regarding the kirkby designs. Not just this either, Trevor Skempton’s stuff will be up, and BESTWAY will be represented. However, if you’re only interested in coloured images of night matches with no technical criteria....... then you’re probably best buying "shoot" to be honest. Anyone who thinks Bestway are small time, need to look them up. Unlike Tesco, they are a private company and are not beholden to shareholders. They are therefore more able to invest in the club directly. Their owner is also significantly wealthier than ours.

Spot on Tom.Everton show us a few night-time shots of a design for a stadium, with searchlights, and little ball lights coming from the stands. And what do you know, the pro Kirkby lads are all spouting how wonderfull the stadium looks.(which it doesn’t by the way)I can’t believe how easily they have been fooled by KW,into believing that for the continuing existence of the club,Kirkby is the only option.I am thankful that there is a group of lads who are willing to fight for what they believe in.It’s pathetic when the pro fans say KW and BW have the clubs intrest at heart, and in the same breath ridicule KEIOC for what they believe in.Just because you lads think Kirkby is the best for us,doesn’t mean we all have to agree with you.And before someone accuses me,No, I’m not a member of KEIOC.I’m just a fan who loves the club to death, but is genuinely concerned that moving to Kirkby is not the right move for us.This is not from sentiment towards Goodison, but from a financial angle.

Roberto, for a start off Anfield is being demolished and for another thing is it very likely that they’ll let us in and finally I wouldn’t want to fucking sit in Anfield and watch Everton.

Also, Goodison will cost a fortune to redevelop 3 or 4 times more than it will cost to build a new ground apparently, so how feasible is that?

Fair points Tom but answer this for me, how do you plan to build a hotel and apartments with existing housing already there? And how do you plan to re-build during the summer? It just takes one old granny who refuses to move and it will drag through the courts for years. I’m not ’ridiculing’ KEOIC as Brian suggests but unless these things have been thought out, it isn’t going to convince anyone. Neither am I particularly pro-Kirkby, I’m just saying it’s the only viable offer on the table.

Everton will continue to exist if we stay but we won’t be up there competing with the top 4. If you’re happy with that, Goodison it is. As I said Brian, not everyone will agree..

I wasn’t having a dig at you Dan.It is just that over the last couple of weeks, there has been a lot of posts slating KEIOC.Just because they believe there is other options for the club.I know, where is the money coming from for what they propose?Hopefully we will have a better idea after tomorrow. But, some of the abuse that has been hurled at them is bang out of order. At the end of the day, these lads are Evertonians as well.

Dan,
Of course there are issues, but it would appear that according to the city planners they are all resolveable. If the other lot can build in a listed victorian park surly anything is achieveable. If you see the plans tomorrow, you will see where the hotel/appartment development site would be located, there are no houses there, and Everton own the land it would be on. This whole "only viable option" has been engineered from day one, when the club insisted 50,000 seats couldn’t fit on GP, and the various spun stats since. They have put all their eggs in one basket, and ordinary concerned blues are going to demonstrate options that the professionals say are viable. The other thing is the BESTWAY option, this has really grabbed the city-planners (and our) imagination, and I can tell you, if given half a chance to grow, this will blow any mention of Kirkby away.

Agreed Brian, hurling abuse at fellow Evertonians with opposing views is insane. People have different opinions and we should all be able to express them without abuse. At the end of the day, we all want what’s best for Everton and we’re desperate for them to return to glory days.

If KEOIC come up with a cunning plan which will enable us to stay at Everton, great, I’ll fully support it providing it’s feasible. Unless it’s bullet proof, people will pick the obvious holes..

On a side note, if this Bestway guy is minted, couldn’t he push it forward by buying Bill out?

What do Bestway do? Had a look on the web and there are tons of companies called Bestway.
