Just a thought?

Anyone get the feeling where not going to here the full extent of Cahill?s injury till after the transfer window has closed when he?ll have a ?Setback? in his recovery. There has been a couple of days now since the injury, surely we should know for sure the full extent and how long he will be out for.

What was the scan for, why have we only been told it?s not as bad as the last injury?

It may be my suspicious mind but I feel it?ll be the club's angle on this as they haven?t the funds for a replacement/additions in the middle. (We have NOT got enough quality not matter what some fans think) So it?ll be? ?Oh he?s had a set back, if only we knew the extent of the injury we would have got someone else in.?

We have only spent 4 million. [£3m net after the sale of Naysmith — Ed] The Board is a joke! We need money for transfers. End of! Even more so now Cahill?s looking at a lengthy lay off!

But nothing will happen and we will start the campaign with a thinner squad then any other team in the prem. Yet fear not some will say we still have a few weeks to go in the transfer market, be patient! FFS

Well I for one will be absolutely disgusted if we do not invest in the middle of the park? that said, will the club have to re-allocate the funds for Baines to accommodate the loss of Cahill?

Oh this club!!

I have an awful feeling that it is going to be a long season. Two starting players already with significant injuries. More players leaving than coming in.
We do need squad players if we can?t get exceptional players, otherwise I really fear for this season.
So consequently I now have my fingers crossed for two miracles this season. My fears for Evertons season being incorrect, and England retaining the world cup next month (rugby)!!

Chris - Nail, Head and lots of hitting going on. I would put money on Cahill having a "further setback" in mid September. I simply cannot understand however why the board seem not to want to address these things and build a squad to compete for 5th spot, UEFA, FA cup etc...

Am I the only one not happy with Cahill over this if he had gone about the close season doing what the club wanted there would have been less chance of this happening,When he insisted on playing the club should have asked him to for go his salary during any time lost through this, why should Everton foot the bill for his international ambitions
