Vogels gone Turkish

Comments (10)

Sorry lads this could be a complete load of rubbish but according to this website, which I can only understand "Vogel" and "transfer" says he is now signing for some Turkish outfit called Kayserispor. No doubt they gave the paltry £1 million to Betis. Oh dear, lads, this is pretty shit. Apologies if I am wrong.

A post to the same effect was on the People's Forum earlier so there's probably enough in it. All for the sake of £1m...

Moyes is a man of principles and if he doesn’t want to hand out the money for Vogel then there is probably a very good reason.

Why do they want a million anyway? I thought he was a free transfer? Do you really want Moyes to grease some agents pocket?

Personally I’m proud that our manager doesn’t get involved in dodgy back hand deals.

I was of the opinion that Vogel was only on loan to Betis from Dortmund and Betis wanted to be compensated because the player was still on loan at Betis when the Everton offer came in?

I could be wrong.

im not normally a gloom merchant, but fooking hell lads we really actually are totally skint aren’t we?

Baines... thats it. Smith to Newcastle, so who is left who is better than what we have? No one, any suggestions?

Btw - I’d still sell Beattie for 4m even if AJ, Faddy and Victor all got hurt tomorrow

If that is true it is absolutely pathetic on our part. I have defended this damn board tirelessly but losing a player because you don’t want to fork over a paltry 1 Million is pathetic. Dutch, you’re speaking nonsense now about Moyes being a man of principle and that’s why he won’t pay it. We need players, the guy is a proven international, would definitely help us this season and Moyes chooses not to strengthen the side because he’s too principled to pay 1 Million for a player???

I’ve reached my breaking point. We have two of our main players out injured now for long periods of time to start the season. We were already very short on players. Now we’re taking forever to complete the signing of Baines, leaving open the opportunity for any other club, who all have money burning holes in their pockets, to come in and snatch him from under our noses. Smith is gone now, who could have added to our striking options and definitely slotted into Cahill’s spot while he’s out injured. Remember that Yobo and Pienaar will be gone during the African Cup, we need another midfielder. And don’t feed me the crap about our young players being able to step in. They can make appearances on the bench and come in as substitutes, but at this rate we could have to rely on them starting at some point. Fans around the world agree that Moyes is a great manager, but think that our club is pathetic due to the lack of money we are spending.

Seriously Dutch stop bumming up to Moyes it is pathetic. We need players in and soon. If Moyes didnt think he was worth 1 million in the first place why did he go after him? Is he trying to bring us shit players to the club.

We are on our way to looking the fools of europe again. We are unorganised and lack ambition. Piennar and Jagielka are good players but we need more. As David said dont give me the likes of Vidarsson, Juktiewicz and Boyle are going to step up because they are not. Vidarsson is lightweight. Jutkiewicz is slow and Boyle has been out for a year. We lost Naysmith who was a decent squad player who could play in a few positions. Nobody actually knows whats happening with Baines who will probably get snapped up by Liverpool. Wake up and stop dreaming we are in a crisis. We have to compete in 4 competitions with about 20 players. I know it is sad but it is true.

Spot on Connor. If we were not prepared to pay a paltry £1m for him.He must have been shite. So as you say, why did Moyes try and get him in the first place? And come on Dutch,I know you are a die-hard Moyes fan,but there is a point where you have to take the rose tinted specs off,and say to yourself"what the fuck is going on"?And Dutch,Betis wanted a £1m for him because he was still under contract,so they had every right to ask for a transfer fee.

We probably won’t sign him anyway but there’s nothing on his official site about it yet

What was the reason that nobody at Everton could be bothered keeping us informed about what was happening with the Vogel deal? Keith Lie-ness, sorry Wyness was quoted as saying the player was coming in for a medical and a deal would be done within a few days...What utter bullshit! But we ought to be used to it from Everton Football Club by now..And why is it taking so long to get Baines on a medical?. Are we waiting for Liverpool or Man United to come and rescue us so we dont actually have to complete the deal or something?. If we dont hear something before Monday I would assume the deal is off..

Good point Ray.A couple of weeks ago we were signing Vogel, then we are told he is having a few problems with Betis.Since then, zilch! Why don’t the club keep us informed?Other clubs seem to be able to do it.If he is not coming, say so.If they are still after him,say so.How hard can it be to put it up on the official website?’Peoples club’My arse!

So Alan Smith has gone to Newcastle and it now looks Baines could be heading there also..Why oh why does it take Everton so long to complete a transfer when there is cash involved?. Were we actually the un-named club that had a bid accepted for Baines or was it Newcastle?. If the bid was from us is there another problem in pushing the deal closer to competion? Once again nobody at the club informs us..The usually reliable Echo has been full of shit this summer..First it had us down as ’closing in on Keiron Richardson’ and then recently ’Koumas is top of Moyes wish list’. Last week the headline was ’Blues ready to step up Smith bid’. Maybe from now on I will take absoloutly no notice to anything I read in this paper or any other rumour for that matter..E.F.C must be the most inept club in the top flight at off-field dealings..
