The Mail Bag
Opportunity Cost...

I am getting the distinct impression that an awful lot of fans who write in to ToffeeWeb are of the belief that EFC is saving its transfer kitty this year to pay for the stadium move.
I too share this opinion, but maybe I should have sent a question into Wyness about the point of having a great stadium in which to play but with no decent players... Will EFC get a gate of 50k in the Championship, will EFC fill all of those swanky new corporate boxes?
I suspect not. Maybe Everton would be better just going for the extra revenue generated from a cup run (heaven forbid EFC should ever win a cup game!) or even a couple of rounds in Europe...

i just think we dnt hav that sort of muny to spend over 10m each yr.
at the end of last season BK sed we wud hav £7m to spend (more than most previous yrs). thats £4m on jags an £3m on howard, dnt forget. wer skint and must be relying on the sale of BT to get baines.
btw btw av a luk at bluekipper cos thers an image of the new stadium on the goodison park site. i thought uefa demands a stadium must hav a certain amount of free (expansion) space around the ground.
this new stadium doesnt even luk gud in the slightest (by design) if this is anythin to go by.
