Firstly, can I just say hats off to the KEIOC lads. I have to admit that at first they did come across as being a bit "over the top" in some of their comments (well to me they did), however, looking at the plans they have to redevelop Goodison, I have to say that I, for one, am mightily impressed.
However, as always, there are some questions.
The first is, naturally, how much do they envisage this will cost? It's all very well coming up with some other decent proposals, but how much will they set us back? Will it be the £50m we're supposedly putting up for the Kirkby project, or will it be £150m, £200m?
Secondly, how long will it take? Can it be done in three years, four years, or would it take longer?
However, I have to say that their proposals have made me to have a rethink of moving to Kirkby.

In all honesty I could’ve whipped a sketch up of how to redevelop Goodison and pass it off as a genuine opportunity.
So if the KEIOC are genuine and believe this is the way forward, show us the figures and the backers and the people who would actually do the job and give us a time frame, preferably in the next four or five years starting at the end of this season.

Reading some of the comments on there, particularly from Neville Southall, they’ve tried to make out that he backs their plan, when clearly he thinks we should move!
I’m amazed that people are backing this, we should move, it shouldnt matter where we move to, the club will still be the same once 11 players cross the white line on a Saturday afternoon. Where they play doesnt bother me one bit, I’ll still support them.
As Neville Southall says, "one day, Everton will have to make a tough decision. Life moves on."

I’m all for staying in Liverpool if it’s possible, but drawing a stadium like it’s Football Manager isn’t the way forward. The Kirkby proposal is concrete and firm from all parties involved - not a few sketches from a pressure group and an under-spotlight councillor trying to cover his arse.
I’m praying that something serious arrives to give a viable alternative to Kirkby, but this isn’t it at all.
I’m off to draw a sketch about a new Goodison Park based on the moon. Back in half an hour. ;)
