KEIOC stadium — Cost and Roof?

Comments (4)

Just read the KEIOC pdf document and unless ive missed something there was absolutley no mention of how much this would cost or how the hell we would pay for it?

Also noticed the stadium has NO ROOF? This is taken from the pdf. A comparison:

''This stadium will be a completely enclosed arena (not covered, although this is also feasible), with all the characteristics of the large Spanish and Italian superstadia.''

People are talking about fan base and will they go to Kirkby, so are they telling us that we will get 57000 attendance at a match in december in a stadium with no roof?

It's a very emotional idea thats well put together and i would love to stay at goodison....this just doesnt seem feasible though. I also had worries about the timescale, the pdf claims a stand can be completed in 5 months? Not sure if that's possible to be honest.

I would urge people to not let this sway your vote, this is propaganda from the opposite side, they need to show us a complete costing and payment stategy, and the same questions need answering.

At the moment all I can see is a nice model with no real idea and business plan of how to actually get us there.

Let the slaughter commence...

A quote from p6: "With the height of all these new structures approximately matching that of the existing top balcony, a continuous roof would be erected covering all stands."

I think the text you quote means to say it wouldn't be a fully covered/indoor arena.

It’s like fecking property ladder.

These people buy a run down house, have no clue what they are doing, they have a budget but then go ten times over it, they don’t listen to the experts opinion and then they lose shit loads of money cos they can’t sell it.

KEIOC show us the figures, not some pretty drawings.

It really doesn’t take much working out, unless you are just trying to stir up something you know is not true.

Look at the side elevation drawings on pages 14 and 16, clearly showing a roof.

There are numberous mentions throughout the whole document as to how the roof is to be supported.

If you’re not going to read properly, why post something negative about it?

I think it looks fantastic,lt has really excited me,especially if some of the old bricks were used to prodcce an iconic structure on the outside, all we need now is some fucker to pay for it !
